Mistweaver Monk 6.2

Recommended Posts

While you are dealing damage in this stance, this does meant you will necessarily be doing no healing whatsoever.

Is there any typo in this sentence?

Not really, while in Crane Stance, you gain the passive monk_stance_redcrane.jpgEminence, where 50% of the damage you do is converted into smart healing and heals a random party member.  If you have your Jade Serpent Statue out (which every MW monk should always have out), then it also benefits from Eminence, and heals a second target for 50% of the damage you do.

Firstly, "it does mean" is better than "it does meant" because "does" or "did", being used to emphasize, are usually followed by the original form of a verb.

Secondly, "this does mean you will necessarily be doing no healing whatsoever."  Putting the bold parts together is "this means you'll be doing no healing", no healing, 0 HPS throughput.  That's completely ignoring the effect of Eminence.  Changing "does" to "doesn't" will make much more sense.

Simply saying "While you're dealing damage in this stance, you'll be doing healing in the meantime." or "While you're dealing damage in this stance, Eminence will automatically convert half your damage into healing." is much more straightforward.

Of course, currently the potential throughput of Crane stance is quite a bit lower than that of Serpent stance.  If that sentence is meant to emphasize on the limitation of Crane stance, that'll be another story.

I see what you mean now.  When I read that statement over at first I automatically corrected the typo in my head, as it should say "this doesn't mean that you will necessarily be doing no healing whatsoever."

Why is there no reference or anything about the MW Class trinket? I know it is not the absolute best, but even in the loot table it is not listed...?

I just dont get why they make guide of the "harderst to play healer" in the game by some guy who killed 2 times heroic on that char.. Okay, he's from Paragon, but so what when he does not raid?? He confirmed he has no idea about MW monk by prefering Power Strikes before Chi Brew for MW which gives you much less control about your chi generation (but for noobs its one button less)..
After I realized how incompetent people you use for some classes / specs, almost stopped going here, cuz you dont want to re-gem and re-enchant you gear 3 times a day because you first checked on this "trusted" web.

Seriously? He didn't know this? It's preferred literally only because it actually generates more chi in total in a fight. Why is he the one being used for the MW guide when there are far more competent monks that should be doing it. I mean honestly, I never even heard of him.

The new War Within Allied Races was added to the Alpha today and we already have a full look at not only all their customization options, but their dances as well, courtesy of MrGM! You can check out the Earthen's racial abilities here if you missed them earlier.
Let's start with the more dynamic feature, with both male and female dances:
And then there's big amount of customization options, as well as a size comparison with regular dwarves:

So, are we liking the new Allied Race overall? More than actual dwarves?

Here's a really cool possibility for the War Within, as a very subtle and mildly mysterious comment from Executive Producer and Vice President for WoW, Holly Longdale, may be hinting at our Warband characters getting a lot more involved in our travels!
First spotted by UlthansWrath, Longdale came up to Taliesin & Evitel at the recent London War Within Alpha press event and had a short chat about the Warband screen, when she casually said "wouldn't it be cool if those were the characters you took as your followers in your Follower Dungeons?" After the obvious confirmation from Taliesin and Evitel that, yes, yes it would be cool, she just said "hm" and that was the end of the conversation.
Obviously this isn't any sort of official confirmation, but considering this is a really awesome idea, it seems likely Blizzard are at the very least discussing it, if not already working on it.

The Warband system is already great, and this would add a lot to it for players that choose to go solo into dungeons, as it would give them even more motivation to get some great characters in their Warband - even if it was just a cosmetic option.
So, what do you think, will we be seeing this feature when the War Within launches?
