Howling Commander is a Paladin-only minion. This card was introduced with Knights of the Frozen Throne and can now only be obtained through crafting. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.

Howling Commander is a cheap minion that provides additional card draw for certain decks. Although it is designed for Paladin decks that focus on Divine Shields, it is still a solid card if there are only 1 or 2 target minions in the deck, as proven time and time again with The Curator.

As nearly every Paladin deck plays Tirion Fordring, Howling Commander will almost have at least one target in a deck and can therefore be considered for any Paladin deck that desires additional card draw.

In Arena, Howling Commander is a good card. As there are many Paladin cards that feature Divine Shields, Howling Commander will almost always provide good value with its card draw effect.
