Job Opening: Dota 2 Guide Writer

We are currently looking for heavily experienced players to help create and nurture the new Dota 2 section coming to our website. Ideally, we would find a single writer that can create guides for every single hero, but this is unlikely, so instead, we are focusing on finding writers for each role: hard support, mid, safe-lane, support, and off-lane.
If you feel that you only have enough knowledge on a single hero, you should apply anyway, as we would still welcome expert insight, regardless of how much of that role you can cover.
Given the current lack of content on the site for Dota 2, we are hoping to find players that are enthusiastic about the game and have enough time to produce content on a regular basis.
This is a paid position, with the amount earned by the writer being a share of the amount generated by the guides that they write. We also offer advance payments to cover the writers while traffic on the guides is building up.
Responsibilities
- You will be required to create and maintain guides for your assigned heroes, which will be decided based on past experience and current knowledge.
- You will need to update the guides as required for each balance update or meta shift.
- You will need to stay in contact with the community and respond to the comments that readers leave on your guides, ensuring that you make adjustments as necessary from their feedback.
Requirements
Note that the general requirements listed here all apply to this position.
- You must be experienced in playing your chosen or assigned heroes, to a
level that gives you an understanding of all skill levels when using these
heroes.
- Given the style of game of Dota 2, you must be experienced in ranked or competitive leagues, and simply having theorycrafting knowledge will not be enough.
- Ideally, you should be in the Divine or Immortal bracket, but we can make exceptions for players that are slightly lower, assuming they are exceptional in all other areas. We understand that simply being excellent at the game does not mean you can necessarily pass on your expertise with ease.
- You must have experience with and understanding of the general meta of the game, as well as staying up-to-date with any changes.
- You should be passionate about Dota and committed to playing the game for the foreseeable future.
