The War Within Mythic+ Season 2 Guide

The War Within Season 2 starts on March 4, 2025, in the Americas, and March 5, 2025, in Europe.

The second season of Mythic+ in The War Within expansion introduces many changes to improve the ecosystem.

• Mythic 0 dungeons award Champion-track gear from each boss, with a weekly instance lockout. The health and damage of enemies in those dungeons has increased to reflect the improved rewards.
• From Mythic 2 through 10, each new level will increase the health and damage of enemies by 7%, down from the previous 10%. Per-level scaling will remain at 10% for Mythic 11+.
• The Xal'atath's Bargain rotation affixes will move up from Mythic 2 to Mythic 4 to replace the Challenger's Peril affix at Mythic 7, with the other one continuing to take effect at Mythic 10.
• At Mythic 12, instead of an additional 10% increase to enemy health, Xal'atath's Gile will now include the increased timer penalty for deaths that was formerly part of Challenger's Peril, as a replacement for rotating Bargain affixes. While the mechanic could feel overly punishing for groups still learning and progressing towards gear rewards, a focus on clean execution remains appropriate for the upper echelons of the system, and removing the extra 10% stats should make the transition into prestige tiers of the system feel easier.
• The requirements to achieve some key reward tiers have been reduced. For instance, Hero-track gear is now available in end-of-run chests from Mythic 6 dungeons; Gilded crests are available from mythic 7 and up.
• The rating requirement for Keystone Legend changed from 2,850 to 3,000 in Season 2.
• Many tank busters have been removed.
• Cast times on critical enemy spells have been significantly increased.

Here is the current affix rotation for Mythic+

• Week 2:: Xal'atath's Bargain: Ascendant, Tyrannical.
• Week 3:: Xal'atath's Bargain: Pulsar, Fortified.
• Week 3: Xal'atath's Bargain: Voidbound, Tyrannical.

The pool of dungeons in Season 2 includes the new Operation: Floodgate dungeon located in the Ringing Deeps, the four remaining War Within dungeons, two Battle for Azeroth and one Shadowlands dungeon.

• Operation: Floodgate;
• Cinderbrew Meadery;
• Darkflame Cleft;
• Priory of the Sacred Flame;
• The Rookery;
• The MOTHERLODE!! (Battle for Azeroth Dungeon);
• Theater of Pain (Shadowlands Dungeon);
• Operation: Mechagon - Workshop (Battle for Azeroth Dungeon).

To reach the dungeons faster, you can use the Timeways portal in Dornogal located at 53.46, 38.71, near Lindormi.

You can upgrade gear with Valorstones and crests in Dornogal at Cuzolth, the Item Upgrade Vendor, found at 51.9, 42.13.

As with every season, players can earn new rewards from Mythic+. Here is a recap of the most notable achievements:

• The War Within Keystone Explorer: Season Two — Complete a Mythic+ dungeon within the time limit during The War Within Season 2.
• The War Within Keystone Conqueror: Season Two — Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 1,500 during The War Within Season 2. Rewards the Enterprising title.
• The War Within Keystone Master: Season Two — Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2,000 during The War Within Season 2. Rewards the Crimson Shreddertank mount. Earning this achievement will also provide you with 1 Matrix Catalyst charge via The War Within Season 2: Master Blaster.
• The War Within Keystone Hero: Season Two — Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2,500 during The War Within Season 2.
• Enterprising Hero: The War Within Season Two — End The War Within Season 2 with a Mythic+ Rating in the top 0.1% of all players in your region. Rewards the Enterprising Hero title.
• The War Within Keystone Legend: Season Two — Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 3,000 during The War Within Season 2 to receive Enterprising Shreddertank.
• Dungeon Teleports — Earned for each dungeon by completing a +10 or higher in that dungeon.

The Keystone Master mount for Season 2 is Crimson Shreddertank mount.

Additionally, the mount from Keystone Legend is a different recolor called Enterprising Shreddertank.

You can earn dungeon teleports by completing a timed Keystone Level +10 or higher run for that dungeon.
