Midnight brings with it one of the biggest sets of changes to classes ever in WoW. Many abilities are getting pruned, many rotations changed and simplified. But how will that reflect on spec performance? Our own Petko has been deep into the subject for a long time now. The Beta tier lists are updated every week. And with the launch coming closer and closer, it’s time to see what’s up!
Not a Traditional Tier List
You’ll notice a distinct lack of S, A, B, etc. tiers on this tier list. As things are still very much in progress, Petko opted for a more descriptive overview of what’s going on.
Sometimes there are specs that are performing so well, you just know it won’t last, which is our top tier here. Two of the current top specs are present, with the No.1 spec from the last tier there as well. The second tier are the specs that actually play really well and are solid on tuning – these are the ones we hope stay as is, and luckily, there’s 7 of them! Next, we have two unfortunate specs with Elemental and Augmentation that are tuned well, but are not fun to play. And then the rest is pretty self-explanatory.
Warriors and Druids drew the short end of the straw so far, as all of them are in the worst tier. One piece of good news is that the new Devourer Demon Hunter spec is in the fun to play but bad tuning category. The tuning will probably be fixed by release, but the fun is sure to stay!
