Paladin Sandbox

Recommended Posts

Oddly enough, my DBM worked on patch day, but it would not send DBM warnings as a pop up on my screen, and all the DBM warnings were only popping up in my chat. Is anyone else having this issue?

Edit: The /Dbm pull command also would not work, either. People had to post the pull as a Raid warning countdown from 5 to 1.

This is why Weak Auras is so OP :)

Yes, one member in the group i was in last night said that you need to download the MoP mod plugin.  Same thing as if you wanted the cata or wrath mods, you would need those plugins.

I have all the DBM plugins all the way from vanilla>MoP, I believe. But I guess i'll have to double check.

I did some lesser charm farming+25n raiding on my Disc priest/resto dr00d this past weekend, and my Disc priest iLevel went from 539>545, and my druid went from 543>547. I almost had a heirloom weapon on my Disc priest, but I wiped on garrosh in his last phase, when he had 10% left.

Hey a couple tires I been kicking around since I'm finally getting into the numbers...

Glyph of Divine Wrath.  Okay, so could this feasibly facilitate a HR->HR->HS->LoD rotation for heavy raidwide phases?  Think Juggs Seige or Malk Blood Fury.  I know the CD is too long to get every window (most of these phases are on 2 min rotations, go figure), but we're also not the only healer in the room.  The 25% mana cost reduction should help mitigate using so many high-cost spells together.  If we then on the next high damage phase pop HA and roll HR->LoD, that effectively bridges, and gives us very potent raidwide.  I think.

Alternatively, could a Glyph of Merciful Wrath + Sanctified Wrath create a similar effect, with slightly longer windows and more HP generation, but less AoE due to HS->HR->HS->LoD rotation?  First HS has no daybreak, and second has only one stack, but the mana cost of the full rotation is lower.

*EDIT*  The Tier set seems to make MW+SW more powerful.  With the throughput buff from HS crits, HR will do more for the dollar.  Then, the 4pc increases uptime even further, meaning HP generation becomes excellent.  Now, I assume it reduces by 60 sec, then reduces by half, rather than the other way around.  But, with SW, that's 50% uptime.  And that can be in LFR gear.

This next observation is for everyone.  While DPS figures can be somewhat telling at this point, healing and tank metrics are currently worthless in the raid environment.  Bosses are doing greatly reduced damage, which takes pressure off healers and leaves them casting whatever they want when they want.  Tanks are not suffering accurate damage for comparative analysis, so things like Resolve and tank self-sufficiency are totally wrong.  My Warrior tank has been laughing heartily at his foes as they tickle him for 5% of his health with double the stacks of the relevant debuff, and we've been running 15-man with 2 heals.  It's just not mathematically representative of what the game will be.  We're missing key stats, too, which are balanced at 100 but not at 90.  It'd be like asking a Blood DK to sim end-game raiding for Cata with no Mastery...  Data fails.

Exactly. Patch X.0 will always allow players to transition to the next expansion without the pressure. These patches are solely to allow the developers to debug prior to the full expansion release without the full stress that is caused on the servers. The numbers and abilities are meant for level 100.

Congrats Conquest, It took me a minute to work out what I was meant to be looking for and thought looking up the mount would be a good guess.

'Dem facts. I'm looking forward to leveling my pally up first as Protection/Holy OS. Does anyone know if garrosh heirlooms switch stats when switching specs? (My pally is using the 569 heroic ilevel version of Hellscream's Warmace for healing on her holy spec, and i want to know if the spellcasting stats on it will swap to protection stats on the mace while leveling up as protection.)

WoD week.. who's ready?

I am, and I have pretty much all of Thursday and Friday afternoon to level (last class ends at noon CST, then a quick lunch).  I'll likely start by leveling my hunter to 100 fairly quickly and then taking it a bit slower on my DK and monk, since I honestly don't care all too much for my warlock right now.  Paladin is still at level 60 right now, and he is next on my list to get to max level (after hunter/dk/monk once WoD drops), but I'm just not playing him as often right now.

It'd be nice if stats did swap with them, but they may not.

I can confirm they don't.  Got the 2h Agi staff on my monk last night and when I switched to MW off spec, it stayed an Agi staff.

If the garrosh heirlooms DO switch stats, it may not take effect until Draenor; Only time will tell.

Even wowhead is showing that they dont, so I would say it's safe to assume they don't, also since no one noticed it on beta.

Ok, in a selfish effort to close the gap on pages in our respective Sandboxes....  PLEASE read this post in the Priest Sandbox and leave me your feedback there.   Since you know.. I won't be coming back here to check any responses   muhahaha.

And really, ty for the help.

Edit:  To be clear.  Closing the gap is based off of your responses and nothing to do with the actual idea I'm deciding on with the pets.  LOL   I'm not that competitive with sad little plate wearers.

Raid/Class Spots Are Open To Any Applicant If The Player Is The Right Fit
A guild formed with an ambition for progression and a love for M+ we decided to make the move from Silvermoon Alliance and form a guild to take our focus to the next level, Cutting Edge in 10.1 being the next step.
We believe in building a guild by recruit players of a similar goal and mentality whether it be for raiding or for push score in Mythic plus. We value loyalty, honesty and a positive attitude towards setbacks. Communication skills are an absolute must.
      Raid Schedule
      Wednesday 20:30-23:00 Sunday 20:30-23:00
      Current Progression
      9/9HC 5/9M
What are we looking for recruitment wise?
We're currently open to recruiting DPS classes listed above, as we aim to solidify a stable 25-player roster. We're looking to provide competition to existing members and choose the best 25 players to proceed with for next tier.

Been playing as 29/11/0 so far, extra crit heals is obviously good for keeping my team alive.

However, I never go OOM, so I want to get some more burst damage. What is the best way to make a hybrid paladin?
Holy shock with spell power? I want to do burst damage when my heals get interrupted, so holy shock might be bad.

7 Prot is the bare minimum for me, Imp Freedom is so strong.
18 Prot is also very strong, extra stuns together with grenades is powerful for BGs.
25 Prot for reckoning might be the best burst damage available, you could even heal with a 2hander. But this requires alot of investment and SETUP.

How good is SoC for a 1hander? Spell power gear? Maybe using Thrash Blade to do melee damage while healing geared.

What kind of gear? Spell power or strength?

<Fun is for Casuals> is a serious but casual horde guild on US-Hyjal. We are serious about raiding without the intense hours. Even when recruitment status is none, we will accept exceptional applications for all classes. For a full list of what we're looking for check out https://funisforcasuals.enjin.com .
Our raid times are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00PM to 8:00PM server (PST) with raid invitations sent out a few minutes prior to that.

We're interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
Raid attendance is essential. We don't want people sitting on the bench but we also want to make sure we're raiding 6 hours per week. We expect you to be available for at least 90% of our raids. Be on time and prepared for raids. This includes flasks and other consumables. Discord is mandatory and a working mic is desired. You're appropriately geared for our current content. Effort and thought have been put into your gear/gem/enchant choices. You wouldn't show up for a job interview looking like a scrub, why would you apply to a guild with improper gems or some insane spec? You're up to date with your class. We expect our raiders to perform to the best of their abilities. You have a computer that's not run with hamster power or requires a hand crank. Some encounters are taxing on a computer's resources so if your toon can't even handle Orgrimmar it's not likely to do well with 20+ whelps that need AOE'ing.
You may be interested in us because:
<Fun is for Casuals> uses the personal loot system. There is no loot council, or DKP. We won't eat your babies the first time you stand in something you have no business being in. Repeatedly do it and we'll break out the bibs and BBQ sauce. We provide a limited amount of consumables and flasks on hard mode raid nights. Discord isn't a circus during raids. We're focused on the job at hand and you should be too. We don't want someone to miss a an interrupt because they were distracted by fart jokes. We are not interested in you if you fit the following criteria:
You roll on BoE items then sell them. Unwilling/unable to spend an entire evening on one boss during progression. While this is rare, it can happen. Drama queens. If you have a problem bring it up to E. This is his job. Don't announce it in guild chat or during a raid. Your issue will have nothing to do with 99% of the guild. You are 17 or younger. We try to keep guild and discord chat PG-13 but occasionally a few four letter words appear out of nowhere. Additionally, we don't want someone's mom interrupting their raiding to get homework or the dishes done. Follow the instructions at https://funisforcasuals.enjin.com/ under the Recruitment tab if you would like to apply.
If you have any question, feel free to contact E. at DbD#1309
