So, I'm looking over the elemental set bonuses and I think everyone will agree with me that two piece is well worth the price of admission. No math needed. What the more complicated issue for me is if the four piece is worth taking 380+ mastery and roughly 200 in either critical strike or haste? Haste and critical strike are great depending on what you want to do but mastery on these items is a bit frustrating.
Would having a lava burst be available every 12+ stacks of Fulmination outweigh having the lava bursts you can already obtain multistrike or cast faster? I'd answer this question myself but I REALLY wouldn't know where to even begin. Any mathematical calculations you can show would also go a long way toward teaching me the finer intricacies of "numbercrafting" these concepts. I appreciate any assistance or redirection on this inquiry.
I'm a Warlock player and some kind of a part of Icy-Veins community.
Recently, I've decided to give my Shadow Priest some love and play it on my days off.
Holly. Freaking. Molly.
It. Is. AWESOME!
CoP weaving is so fast paced, rotation is so goddamn clean, no RNG shenanigans or dancing with those procs. Awesome!
And DPS was rewarding aswell. I literally could not believe myself when I pulled 18k on butcher being 635 ilvl!
I feel like I'm having a grasp on this spec and it's paying me back with good DPS(maybe I'll even switch one day)
One issue, however, hits me.
I have absolutely zero clue how should I handle execute phase using CoP DoTweaving.
It's getting too fast and too chaotic for me.
I spam MB and SWD, use DP when I can and keep dots up, but I have literally no time for Insanity ticks in there!
Wouldn't somebody mind to explain me the exact execute rotation/gameplan so I don't panic when SWD button starts to shine?
Edit: P.S. @Admin guys around, it would probably be a good idea to make a central "Help my shadow DPS" thread or "Help my Healing" Thread, you know, to avoid cluttering. There is a bunch of threads at page one which are essentially this material. Just my 2 cents stolen from warlock forum.
Hello my dear hunter friends!
For new expansion I'm comming back to Burning Legion EU, horde side.
Since im standing in front of race choosing problem i wanted to talk a little about current state of racial-hunter-dps matter.
First of all i was thinking about choosing Orc. Lets look now at Orc:
-Blood Fury - dps cooldown - Sounds good, isnt it? But im not sure how strong will it be at start of WoD and how it will look in later patches.
- 1% pet damage - I'm afraid its not too much.
Now lets look at second race. I was considering Blood Elf:
-1% critical chance - well, finaly other race then stinky dogs (no offense Worgen players - i just dont like Worgens) recived my favourite racial.
Arcane torrent - 15 focus generation - 2 min CD.
Trolls, trolls, trolls...
-15% berserker buff - tempting, but i dont feel it.
Yes, we can sit here and talk about how those character look. Maybe some of you care about lore. I simply dont. I'm gathering my old team and all i care is DPS.
Whats your opinion?
And please, dont write like - roll blood elf, they are so cute. Or roll Troll, they overcame Garrosh!
Really guys I want to discuss with you about math, about straight DPS!
Does anyone know why havocing "current target" and mouseover shadowburning adds doesnt work? Shadowburn will only land on my mouseover target and not the one I'm attacking and havoc charges won't be used. I just noticed it after some tests on training dummy. As long as havoc is placed on a mob that is not my current target [which I'm attacking], mouse over shadowburn works just fine. Am I missing something here?
Hello Protection Paladins!
I've come up with a nice spreadsheet for analyzing your DPS and Survivability, inspired by Akraen's Frost Mage version. I will be watching this thread for the upcoming week to analyze all those who ask for some help.
What you need to do: reply to this thread with any difficulty of Malkorok log.
What you will receive: A picture of the spreadsheet, like the example below, that can tell you what spells you've used, their average damage, and the overall DPS loss by misusing them. It will also analyze your Shield of the Righteous and Eternal Flame uptime on yourself, to determine your increased damage intake, and self healing losses.
Update 1: I removed a useless part of data visible for when I originally planned on using Iron Juggernaut. I also realized I didn't add a tracker for Divine Purpose.
