Hello fellow Protection Palladin players I have a few questions for you!

 

 

In the rotation section of the prot guide it says to cast crusader strike and judgment before avengers shield EVEN WITH a proc on.

 

This confuses me because not only is it our hardest hitting ability it also gives free holy power for survival which cannot be refreshed until the ability is used! Therefore meaning we are wasting free holy power generation by sitting on this ability and not using it asap.

I think I must be missing something and would love clarification on this.

 

 

ALSO, In the stats priority section Haste is listed as dead last and strength not at all. Haste used to be one of prots best stats because it increased dmg and holy power generation significantly through sotr uptime.

 

I have heard some say that haste > everything until 50% then its value is reduced and thats why its listed last. But if thats the case why doesnt it say so? Surely holypower generation for more sotr's is better than more mastery for stronger sotr's because we care more about smoothing out damage instead of windows of being tough and weak.

 

And Strength as a stat is supposed to be second only to bonus armor shouldnt we want to know this information if we are choosing between a mastery or strength trinket? A new player who was reading this guide would see that and think the mastery one is better because strength isnt even listed.

It's unlikely that it will proc again before you use it, so using 2 casts for shorter CDs of holy power will generate more over the course of the fight. Its more survivability to wait on it. There's a few cases where you get much more by spending it, such as Tectus if you have 3+ adds, or Butcher (I think? It could be twins) because he hits you so often that it procs almost every second at some points.

 

Haste > all until 50% was last expansion, and died in that expansion. Theres been tons of theorycraft proving it's value is mostly for consistency and damage (Which was the ONLY reason people wanted it in MoP, free insane DPS). As for Strength, its not a secondary stat so you cant fight on it on any scenario except for say trinkets, though there's enough BA trinkets around that you should be striving for those.

      now ive tried diffrent ways of doing my rotation but i still cant seem to "hold it up" i am high up at start...til like 30-60sec into the fight then i start falling behind:(

      So iam willing to give out 1 token to whom ever can give me a reasonable, understandable solution that works for me
      (i know i didnt optimize my trueshot, prepots etc etc) But the problem is after trueshot and my troll racial is "over" i start falling:(
      this is what i wanna figure out, ive tried to do Aimed and then barrage/windburst etc but i seem to starve on focus, ive tried the 2aimed then some cd's but seems i fall behind on Aimedshot dmg then:(

      So even with the same rotation (atleast i think and feel like i do the same) i can go from 7% pref to 29% pref, i know alot of dmg is RNG but i cant be THAT Unlucky
      id say my avg preformance is about 10% so iam not unlucky iam sucky:(
      but i need to understand what i need to work on:( rotation i know...but is it as simple as to get the azortian down to the perfection?
      cause ive seen other hunters do my "get as many aimedshot as possible into vuln phase" do like 98% pref...but when i do it i fall down to 9.8:)

      and ill be more then willing to hand out a token for a guide/suggestion that actually works for me

      Hey guys. 
      I do know which stats enhancement should go for, but i'm finding it hard to find any clues on what the stat percentages should be? I've also heard that enhancement need to alot of mastery, but how much? 
      Like some classes has to so stack haste at a certain point and so on, but what are the most optimal stat percentages for enhancement?

      Hey all, 
      Been simming my char and im being directed massively towards vers and crit now, after hitting around 21% haste. SC is showing my haste to be worth close to zero now ive hit that point. 
      Im simming around 330k and outdoing this a good bit, which is ok. 
      Ive recently got BiS legendary in the cloak, and not sure if i trust the SC weights anymore. 
      Im leaning to going pure haste > crit > verse > mastery, regardless of the weights in SC. 
      Anyone any advice or tips around this?

      Hey everyone. I'm worried that my time invested in BM is for not. However, with the changes coming to MM, my thoughts are that BM may still be a viable raiding spec. I enjoy BM because of its freedom of movement.  A dead hunter does no damage, and that my motto. With that being said, I want to be sure I'm maximising my damage output. I'm currently waiting on some drops, namely trinkets, which I've been incredibly unlucky with, but other than that, I'm geming for mastery, and enchanting agi where needed. Currently, in raids, with flasks and potions, I've been ranging in dps from about 265-310, depending on the fight.  Given my gear, I feel like I should be doing more. I'm unsure if I'm hitting a ceiling with BM, or if it is something I'm doing wrong. I've been following the standard rotation posted on icy-veins, and even under normalized conditions on training dummies (no flasks etc...), under 2-3 min rotations, I've been peaking at around 270k dps. Any thoughts on this?
