On this page, you will find a S20 low budget Warlock Murloc Wild deck. It costs 2,220 Arcane Dust to make (counting common cards) and will help you start climbing the rankings.

Our deck costs 2,220 Arcane Dust and it is made up of the following cards.

Our Low Budget Warlock Murloc Aggro/Rush Deck offers an extremely aggressive, murloc-heavy gameplay that can easily put immense pressure on any opponent.

Regardless of what deck you play against, your board value is everything. You should always strive towards efficient minion trading and slowly building up your advantage on the board.

The early game is extremely important and you should always play it as efficiently as possible by sticking to your Mana curve. Young Priestess will generate a lot of value over the course of time, which is why you should always attempt to play it when you have another minion on board, especially against decks with offensive Hero Powers.

Since the deck consists mainly of minions, Knife Juggler will generate a lot of pressure if not dealt with immediately and just like Young Priestess, you should attempt to protect it.

Voidwalker may seem like an odd choice for an aggressive deck, however in most situations, Voidwalker will delay your opponent and protect your valuable minions, which can put immense pressure on your opponent if they are unable to kill your Young Priestess or Knife Juggler.

Murloc Tidecaller can be extremely strong, as its offensive value grows with each murloc played, which can quickly become a real threat for your opponent, especially when you play it on the first turn and play Murloc Tidehunter the turn after.

Grimscale Oracle will provide offensive value to all your other murlocs, and you should always play it when it can buff a murloc that can attack, rather than placing it on the board on turn 1 as it is likely to die to an offensive Hero Power.

Bluegill Warrior has Charge and will often be used as removal, however since it benefits from all murloc synergies, it can sometimes provide great value and be used as additional pressure.

Flame Imp brings amazing value for its cost and, when played in the early game, the drawback from its Battlecry is a minor sacrifice. Speaking of great value, murlocs are generally extremely vulnerable, however when buffed with Coldlight Seer or Murloc Warleader their value increases substantially and can put immense pressure on your opponent.

Defender of Argus will always increase both the offensive and the defensive potential of your minions, which will often allow you to take a favourable trade and create advantage on the board, or simply toughen up your valuable minions, making them harder to kill with an AoE damage spell.

Old Murk-Eye's aggressive potential scales with the amount of murlocs on the board and it can easily deliver substantial damage.

Doomguard is one of the best aggressive Warlock cards, as it brings insane value for its cost, however you should always attempt to diminish the drawback from its Battlecry, by playing it from a rather empty hand. Doomguard provides an instant 5 damage which can often be used as a finisher.

Power Overwhelming and Soulfire can be used as finishers, however in most situations you will attempt to use them as removal, take out a taunter and allow your minions to swing at your opponent, rather than engaging in minion trading.

Mortal Coil can potentially create advantage in the early game by taking out a minion with 1 health, however in most situations, you will use it to finish the first damaged minion and cycle Mortal Coil.

Life Tap, your Hero Power, is your main source of card advantage and you will use it to maintain your pressure on the board, however keep in mind that you should ideally stick to your Mana curve and use your Hero Power only when you have nothing else to play. Using your Hero Power excessively can have a bad influence on your board presence.

2.1. Synergies and Combinations

Since the deck is pretty straightforward to play, most of your synergies are simply the abilities individual cards provide.

Young Priestess will increase the defensive potential of your minions, making them harder to kill and thus putting additional pressure on your opponent.

Knife Juggler can do a lot of damage if not dealt with immediately, as your deck mainly consists of minions and you will likely play multiple each turn.

Defender of Argus brings amazing value on the board, however in most situations you will be able to buff your inferior minions with Taunt and thus delay your opponent.

Murlocs offer several synergies that can increase your pressure and value on the board:

  • Grimscale Oracle will provide extra attack value to any other murloc.
  • Murloc Tidecaller will gain additional attack value from each additional murloc played.
  • Coldlight Seer will increase the health of all your murlocs, making them much harder to kill and potentially survive AoE damage spells.
  • Murloc Warleader provides a +2/+1 aura that effects all murlocs.
  • Old Murk-Eye will gain additional attack value for each other murloc on the board.

2.2. Mulligan / Starting Hand

You should always be looking for a 1 Mana drop such as Murloc Tidecaller, Flame Imp, Voidwalker, or Young Priestess, and if you already have at least one of them, you can easily swap your other cards in search of a Knife Juggler. Should you have The Coin, you should attempt to get a double 1 Mana drop down on your first turn, preferably Young Priestess and another minion.

Against most mid-range decks, you can easily keep your Soulfire and use it as removal.

2.3. Card Swaps

Should you be constantly matched against decks with many Taunters, you can potentially consider including Ironbeak Owl in your deck to bypass the Taunt mechanic when going for the kill.
