Leveling Glyphs

Your leveling glyphs are mostly the same as your endgame glyphs. Glyphs can be a huge boost to your DPS capabilities as some glyphs greatly improve the baseline power of your key abilities.

3.1.

Prime Glyphs

  1. Glyph of Moonfire Icon Glyph of Moonfire — improves the periodic damage of Moonfire Icon Moonfire by 20%.
  2. Glyph of Insect Swarm Icon Glyph of Insect Swarm — increases your Insect Swarm Icon Insect Swarm damage by 30%.

3.2.

Major Glyphs

  1. Glyph of Thorns Icon Glyph of Thorns — you will be likely to fight many enemies at once while leveling in dungeons and world content, making Thorns Icon Thorns surprisingly strong for extra damage.
  2. Glyph of Starfall Icon Glyph of Starfall — reduces the cooldown of Starfall Icon Starfall by 30 seconds, allowing you to do large area damage pulls more frequently.
  3. Glyph of Monsoon Icon Glyph of Monsoon — reduces the cooldown of Typhoon Icon Typhoon by 3 seconds.

Minor Glyphs

  3. Glyph of Dash Icon Glyph of Dash — reduces the cooldown of Dash Icon Dash by 20%, increasing your potential mobility in the process.
4.

Leveling Rotation

Make sure to keep your party buffed with Mark of the Wild Icon Mark of the Wild and debuff bosses and other long lasting enemies with Faerie Fire Icon Faerie Fire if there are melee players in your group.

In single-target you will look towards the following priority:

  1. Use Starfall Icon Starfall in a position where you will not pull unwanted enemies;
  2. Cast Starsurge Icon Starsurge on cooldown;
  3. Apply and refresh Insect Swarm Icon Insect Swarm followed by Moonfire Icon Moonfire;
  4. Apply and refresh Moonfire Icon Moonfire;
  5. When not in an Eclipse Icon Eclipse, work towards your next one by casting either Starfire Icon Starfire (for your first Eclipse) or Wrath Icon Wrath, with the spell you want to cast always being the same as the buffed spell of the Eclipse you mostly recently left.

For area-of-effect damage you will use a different rotation:

  1. Use Starfall Icon Starfall in a position where you will not pull unwanted enemies;
  2. Use Starsurge Icon Starsurge and Starfire Icon Starfire until you enter Solar Eclipse;
  3. Apply and refresh Insect Swarm Icon Insect Swarm followed by Moonfire Icon Moonfire on all enemies;
  4. Apply and refresh Moonfire Icon Moonfire on all enemies;
  5. Channel Hurricane Icon Hurricane.
5.

Abilities to Skip While Leveling

While leveling, you will not need to use all of your spells. Many can be skipped to save gold and trained at a later date, when you have more gold available to you. We recommend to not train these spells below, and save your gold for gear, glyphs and mounts instead.

  • Entangling Roots Icon Entangling Roots
  • Rake Icon Rake
  • Claw Icon Claw
  • Ferocious Bite Icon Ferocious Bite
  • Demoralizing Roar Icon Demoralizing Roar
  • Swipe Icon Swipe
  • Ravage Icon Ravage
