Power Word: Shield is a Priest-only spell. 2 copies of this card are given to you with the Basic set of the game. You receive a golden version of this card for reaching Level 47 and 48 with Priest. Power Word: Shield is a very powerful card. Generally any card that replaces itself in your hand for 1 Mana is worth considering in your deck. What pushes Power Word: Shield over the edge is that the effect it offers alongside the card draw is also extremely powerful. Buffing a minion's health can allow a favourable trade, or preemptively raise a minion's health outside of an expected removal spell's range.

Power Word: Shield is included in almost every Priest deck. It is an extremely flexible card that can function as card draw, enable stronger trades, or combine with Wild Pyromancer.

Power Word: Shield is a very strong card in Arena that can replace itself in your hand while adding value to the minions you have in play.
