The Arcane specialisation provides very good single-target damage in stationary fights.

Playing an Arcane Mage relatively well is much easier than doing so with a Frost or a Fire Mage. This specialisation only requires that you watch out for a few cooldowns and a great part of your damage will come from only one spell, Arcane Blast. However, mastering this specialisation is just as difficult as with the other Mage specialisations.
