Table of Contents

Northshire Cleric is a Priest-only minion. 2 copies of this card are given to you with the Basic set of the game. You receive a golden version of this card for reaching Level 40 and 42 with Priest. Below the card images, you will find explanations to help you use the card optimally in every game mode of Hearthstone.

1. General Comments

Northshire Cleric is a crucial card in almost every Priest deck. It provides the needed card draw to make sure that Priests have access to the required cards and multi-card combos they require in order to make powerful plays. It also functions as a strong anti-Aggro minion as it can trade effectively into early game Leper Gnomes and Worgen Infiltrators while drawing more options for your later turns.

2. Constructed Play

Northshire Cleric is a key card in almost every kind of Priest deck. In Control Priests it allows you to draw the necessary cards to ensure that you are able to activate combos like Auchenai Soulpriest plus Circle of Healing that the deck relies on. In more Midrange focused Priest decks, it ensures that you have enough options in hand to keep making proactive plays.

3. Arena

Northshire Cleric is a solid card in Arena. It is generally best to use Northshire Cleric as a later-game play as playing it out on turn 1 will usually lead to it being contested immediately by a 3/2 minion from your opponent. Due to this, it is usually correct not to keep Northshire Cleric in your opening hand unless you also have a card like Power Word: Shield or Velen's Chosen.
