Firelands is the main raid of phase three in Cataclysm. This raid offers players a fiery, high-stakes adventure where you will face off against Ragnaros again, and his elemental minions amidst the scorched remains of the elemental plane world.

Getting into Firelands in Cataclysm

Firelands can be found in the Mount Hyjal zone to the South, surrounded by lava. Here you will find the vendor for the raid, as well as a summoning stone to call in the rest of your group.

Firelands Layout

The first part of Firelands contains five of the seven bosses in the dungeon. Here you can face Shannox, Lord Rhyolith, Beth'tilac, and Alysrazor in any order, and follow it up by defeating Baleroc The Gatekeeper to unlock the next area with the remaining two boss encounters.

After defeating the first five bosses, you can head through this area to face first Majordomo Staghelm before finally taking Ragnaros on directly!

Firelands Boss Strategies

Firelands first four bosses are non-linear, allowing you to fight them in any order you wish. Each boss encounter in Firelands has a unique mechanic for players to master, be sure to learn them all to greatly improve your chances of defeating the Fire Lord Ragnaros once and for all!

Firelands Achievements

Achievement Description
Death from Above Icon Death from Above Only kill Cinderweb Drones while they are atop the web canopy during the Beth'tilac encounter in Firelands.
Not an Ambi-Turner Icon Not an Ambi-Turner Defeat Lord Rhyolith in the Firelands without ever causing him to turn left while his armor is intact.
Do a Barrel Roll! Icon Do a Barrel Roll! Defeat Alysrazor in the Firelands without any raid member getting hit by the following attacks.
Bucket List Icon Bucket List During a single engagement, bring Shannox to each of the following locations in the Firelands before dispatching him:
Share the Pain Icon Share the Pain Defeat Baleroc in the Firelands without allowing any member of your raid to suffer Torment more than three times.
Only the Penitent... Icon Only the Penitent... Activate both of Fandral's Flames at once in Firelands without any raid member getting hit by Kneel to the Flame!
Ragnar-O's Icon Ragnar-O's Defeat Ragnaros while three Living Meteors are ignited by Lava Wave.
