Cataclysm Classic Subtlety Rogue Enchants and Consumables

Cataclysm is a relatively straight forward expansion when it comes to Enchants Gems and Consumables, but each of them is extremely important to maximizing your damage out put and survivability in any situation; this is especially true in Raids and Dungeons. Below is a list of the optimal consumables and enchants to help you get the most out of your Subtlety.

Agile Shadowspirit Diamond is by far the best option for your Meta Gem, as it gives a considerable amount of Agility and increases the amount of damage dealt by Critical Strikes by 3%. Always make sure you have at least three Blue Gems in your gear to keep your Meta gem active.

Our focus is maximizing as much Agility as possible, generally speaking if a socket bonus is not worth 10 Agility it is not worth meeting it and you should place a Delicate Inferno Ruby in the slot..

• In Red Sockets, you will use Delicate Inferno Ruby.
• In Blue Sockets, Glinting Demonseye if the socket bonus is 10 or more Agility, otherwise Delicate Inferno Ruby.
• In Yellow Sockets, Deft Ember Topaz if the socket bonus is 10 or more Agility, otherwise Delicate Inferno Ruby.

Similar to Gems, the goal with your food buff is maximizing your Agility. you have three options that all grant the same amount of bonus Agility.

As a Subtlety Rogue we will use Flask of the Winds

Potion of the Tol'vir are a nice added cooldown to allow you to deal even more damage. Your potion is best used with your big DPS cooldowns like Shadow Dance so always try to pair your cooldowns. It is important to also have Mythical Healing Potions on hand for a quick burst of healing if you find yourself in a situation where you would otherwise die.

While you will not have much time to cast them and any kind of damage taken will interrupt their healing Dense Embersilk Bandage can be the difference between surviving or dying so it is a great mana-free way to heal yourself in an emergency.
