Ret Paly DPS Check

Guild is wanting me to get my dps up.  I've been looking everywhere for something I'm doing wrong but cant seem to find it.  Any ideas?  Below are the logs from an LFR fight from today and armory page.

How much more are they really expecting out of you at that iL? Everything looks good, excepting you missed 4 EDS procs on that Gruul fight. Would recommend Bleeding Hollow on your weapon instead of Shattered Hand, though.

Great! To be honest this was a good fight for me. I think they would be good with these numers. For some reason when I run with thy guild in heroicI get a little nervous and don't pull these numbers. I just wanted to make sure it was raid awareness and not a rotation problem. Now I know what to work on. One question. Do you cast EDS as soon as it process or wait to throw FV first then EDS?

Thanks for the advice on the enchant. Ive been wondering about that.

You always want to try and FV before EDS for the buff, and this may occasionally overwrite an existing EDS proc with a new one - which can account for discrepancies between instances of the EDS proc and actual DS casts. Though, since it's rare to have an EDS proc without already having the FV buff (i.e., your previous FV was the one that procced EDS), consuming the proc before FV at 5HoPo is what I usually do.

So, I never do this, while i understand why you would, basically in a single target scenario I never use divine storm on a unless you have both Empowered divine storm and the final verdict buff active. Now i'm going to admit I don't know how exactly the math works here so correct me if i'm wrong, but lets say you're sitting at 5HoPo, you can either

 

Divine storm -> Final Verdict, which means you have a 50% damage buff to Divine storm, and this way you're less likely to proc a new divine storm without using the old one

 

OR

 

Final verdict -> Divine Storm, which means your divine storm is going to hit for 150% damage, but you have a 25% chance to double up on your divine storm procs. 

 

I guess it's up to you here, but I like to play on the side of guaranteed damage, and not bet on a 25% proc to occur. using the second method, you will miss a few procs over time (which is unfortunate). This is sort of similar reasoning as to why divine purpose isn't really raid viable. sure, you could get 12 procs in a row and your DPS would be sky high, but you could also not get any ever and have it be awful :>

Actually, with 4pT17, DP becomes the superior talent choice at the L75 tier. Access to HoW outside execute/Wings with 2pT17 devalues SW, since procs during Wings are, essentially, wasted; and the extra HoPo from casting Exo with 4pT17 devalues HA. And all the extra HoPo from both sets bonuses means more finishers for more chances to proc DP/EDS.
