Parenting while playing WoW can be tough sometimes...

Recommended Posts

As a new parent I've had to come up with all sorts of creative ways to make sure my little is amused so daddy has his brief chance to login and do blood elf stuffz.

I've set up an old VHS player in my gaming room to entertain her with some of my best childhood stories. My kid loves Pikachu! (Proud dad here!)

Sometimes her interruptions are cute and the stream gets to enjoy the brighter moments of parenthood. Other times she gets super pissed and smashes my keyboard, mid-raid, because the first pokémon movie is rewinding on the VHS... (Our kids will never know the joys of trolling the next person to watch a VHS tape by putting the movie at the very end to show crucial spoilers, "le sigh"...)

Today she decided to be cute/annoying during the stream. Managed to get it caught on tape for everyone to enjoy!

I want to hear your parenting gaming fails, or wins! I think the kiddos can make streaming very interesting at times. I wish there were more twitch streamers who had kids. I feel like a loner! Lol

Back when Culling of Stratholme was released and the timed run was still a challenge for the mount and the extra badge I joined a "pro" group as healer.

Little girl was about 12months old and sat in her high chair having some fruit next to me, babbling away.

Halfway through the run (time was ok but couldnt risk a wipe) she projectile vomited everywhere - all over my desk keyboard etc and obviously I had to stop right there and sort her out.

Just said in /p "omg kid sick gtg" - got so much rage off the group because I'd messed their chance of the mount that day :P

Oooooh! Thats awesome! I remember that mount run! It was difficult for about the first half of the Xpan just because most ppl didnt know the fights. Good times! Its amazing how much vomit can be stored inside that tiny little body, right?

My daughter is 7 now and I've been playing for almost 3 years. Now it's not so difficult to play the game, but in the past, I normally had to log out during a conversation in game with a friend because my daughter would sometimes get into things she's not supposed to. Those kinds of things were signs that I needed to leave and do something with her. Now its not so bad at all. Since she's 7 I let her play a few of my toons regardless if they die because she doesn't really know how to play. In my old guild, she'd try and talk to my other guild members in vent and they'd laugh because she would say the most weird and funny things a 7 year old could come up with.

Occasionally I'd go afk and leave the game going, then come back to find I am some where else or dead because my daughter would take over lol

Hey Dude.

I think that helps your stream so much.  I'm not a watcher, but it shows that your human.  And I can sincerely relate to being human (pretty much we all can).

Its good to see the other side of people - when they're not playing the game.  IMO a steam is 40% about the person steaming and the rest is up to the gameplay and class and such.

Its a super welcome interruption :).  Even when shes pissed off.

Thanks! :) I'm glad its welcomed. I was worried I'd come off as a lame old dude with a kid and nobodu would be interested in me.

It can be really funny when shes pissed off. I feel like a bad parent if I let her stay too mad sometimes. But it is amusing nonetheless.

She literally hulk smashed my keyboard during a guild raid once. Which caused her to deathgrip the boss... Unfortunately it was off stream. Wish I woulda caught it!

After the Frog Farm nerf, players in MoP Remix have found a new farming spot with Goats!
In MoP Remix, many players are now farming Goats instead of Frogs. Although the new Goat farm isn’t as profitable, it's become the new go-to spot.

How Does the New Goat Farm Work?
To start farming goats, head to the location in Valley of the Four Winds shown below. Screenshot courtesy of NexerdGamer.

For maximum profits, use a Potion of Luck. The Goat farm is straightforward: fly around the designated area until you find packs of goats and kill them. There’s always at least one pack available at any time.

Blizzard is currently working on making level 70 gameplay more rewarding in MoP Remix.
On X, Blizzard tweeted, "We hear you!" indicating that improvements to level 70 gameplay are coming soon.
Placeholder for tweet 1792636974982955457 The first batch of MoP Remix tuning already includes some much-needed changes.

Big changes arrive to the Remix limited time event, as Blizzard address some of the issues players have been having. We see improvements for: higher level enemy scaling, drop rates overall, LFR, dungeon and scenario XP and gem drops, and the earlier Bronze drop from caches.
      MoP Remix (Source)
We’re making a number of changes to address issues players have been reporting with scaling and improve the overall Remix experience by improving the viability of all content for earning additional experience, bronze, and gear. The following updates have already been made to all realms via hotfix:
Enemy power scaling, particularly in group content, has been adjusted to be less aggressive. This is particularly applicable in the player level 40 - 70 range, before players have been able to power up their cloak, upgrade their gems, and increase their item level. Gear drop rates have been improved from world rares, rare elites, and quests. This will help players who have had their item levels fall behind as leveling speed increases, especially at higher levels when cloak bonus experience is powered up. This will also increase player Bronze and appearance acquisition by increasing the number of items to place into the Unraveling Sands for additional Bronze. The first time bonus for queueing each LFR wing will grant a Thread of Experience in addition to the existing Lesser Bronze Cache. This should improve LFR as a viable choice for leveling main characters and alts, without players feeling like they need to grind the same LFR wing repeatedly. We have added bonus experience to each boss in normal dungeons and scenarios so they are a viable alternative to questing. Bonus experience has also been adding to the last boss of Heroic Scenarios. Heroic dungeon bosses will continue to drop bonus experience. We’ve increased the number of prismatic gems dropped from bosses in normal and heroic scenarios and dungeons. The increased stamina offered by Legendary Prismatic gems boosts player survivability considerably. We have increased the Bronze granted from all qualities of Bronze Caches by 25%. These caches are available from a wide variety of sources, both solo and group. This includes the Minor Bronze Cache, Lesser Bronze Cache, Bronze Cache, and Greater Bronze Cache. There are more hotfixes on the way, and as always, we’ll detail all of them in our next hotfixes update

Plagued by night terrors and grisly flashbacks, the young king finally finds the isolation he seeks in Stormsong Valley, milling flour for a local village. But while Anduin may be able to hide his identity, he cannot escape who he is or the stuff he is made from.

With all zones available for playtesting in the War Within Alpha, it almost feels like the Closed Beta could start as soon as this week.
What does this mean for Alpha testers?
Character wipes! All Alpha characters will be deleted, and you will need to create a new character or copy one from retail once the Closed Beta starts.
What does it mean for the rest?
What does this mean for everyone else?
If you opt-in for War Within Beta, you will have a chance to be selected since Blizzard will be sending out a large wave of invites for Beta testing.
However, if you pre-ordered the Epic Edition of the War Within, Closed Beta access should be guaranteed. You can pre-order it here.
