wow Reset Timer Changes in Legion

4 posts in this topic

In Legion and during the Legion pre-patch, daily and weekly quests, heroic and mythic dungeons and raids will have a single unified lockout time.

At the moment, daily quests and dungeons/raids have separate reset timers. Soon, you will only need to remember a single lockout time. This new system will apply once the Legion pre-patch hits.

For European realms, the reset time will be at 7 a.m UTC. The weekly lockouts will remain on Wednesday morning:

As of the pre-patch for Legion, reset timers for recurring in-game activities such as daily/weekly quests and raid/dungeon lockouts will be updated to a single unified lockout time of 07:00:00 UTC for all European realms. This change will make it more convenient for players, as you will only need to keep track of one reset time. Weekly resets will occur on Wednesdays at this time. (source)

For the Americas and Oceania, the lockout will be at 15:00:00 UTC (8 a.m. PDT / 1 a.m. AEST), while weekly resets will occur on Tuesdays (early Wednesday mornings for Oceanic realms) at this time. As you can see, players on North American, Latin American and Oceanic realms will also be able to group up together from now on.

With Legion on the horizon, we wanted to let you know of an upcoming change that will open up additional grouping opportunities for players. As of the expansion pre-patch, players on North American, Latin American, and Oceanic realms will be able to group together in the open world no matter what realm their party or raid members are on. Players will also be able to see all available groups within the Group Finder, regardless of realm. This update will make it easier than ever for people to play together and group up for adventures like the new World Quests in Legion.

Additionally, reset timers for recurring in-game activities such as daily/weekly quests and raid/dungeon lockouts will be updated to a single unified lockout time of 15:00:00 UTC (8 a.m. PDT / 1 a.m. AEST) for all North American, Latin American, and Oceanic realms. This change will make it more convenient for players, as you will only need to keep track of one reset time. Weekly resets will occur on Tuesdays (early Wednesday mornings for Oceanic realms) at this time.

This is good news for both night birds and early birds and vampires: you will now have more time to complete your numerous daily quests, the daily heroic that you forgot to do earlier or that last-minute mount farm at Firelands!

Finally.  I am glad everything will now be on the same timer.  It was a little annoying to have everything on a different timer.

Finally, this enables me to start doing my dailys/transmog and mount runs after i had alot to drink.

Right now i'm forced to be an earlier alcoholic, or running them sober. Which basically isn't an option to start with.

Happy days incoming during Legion ^^

Damn i forgot about the normal weekdays..... This doesn't sound that positive because it will be more difficult to quickly do your dailies before you go to work now... Damn totally forgot about that.....

Guess i'll need to start informing my GF i'll need more time in the evenings ^^

Ban-Lu, Grandmaster's Companion is Monk's Class Mount. It doesn't have any color variations at this time and we're not sure if Blizzard plans to add different tints in future builds. Monks can get a pet from their Order Hall that perfectly matches their new mount. You'll probably have to unlock all Artifact traits to purchase it if it's gated like the new Death Knight pets.

Ban-Fu, Cub of Ban-Lu (NPC - Ban-Fu, Cub of Ban-Lu) can be purchased from Mei Chele for 10,000 Order Resources.  Pet Abilities Spirit Claws Moon Tears Prowl Jade Claw Feed Vengeance

Blizzard have an official preview of the brawls that will be coming to shake up the Battleground PvP system, with Gravity Lapse, Tarren Mill vs. Southshore and Warsong Scramble.
      Blizzard (source)
With the release of patch 7.2: The Tomb of Sargeras, you can experience some of your favorite player-vs-player Battlegrounds with a little extra twist.
Every other week a new PvP Brawl will be available to players looking for something just a little different. Each Brawl will offer a variety of modes, rules, and scenic changes to the usual Battleground gameplay, and you’ll find them in the Group Finder tool (hotkey “I”) in the Player vs. Player tab. Just like Random Battlegrounds, you’ll receive a reward for achieving victory. Here are just a few of the Brawls you can look forward to:
      Gravity Lapse – Resource Race
Gravity getting you down? Step into the Eye of the Storm and be prepared for a whole new en-lighten-ing experience. Every minute, players on the battlefield will find themselves launched into the air, only to gently fall toward the ground once more in a perpetual aerial ballet as they try to accrue enough resources to take the win home for their team.
Tarren Mill vs. Southshore – Warfare
Originally introduced as a part of the World of Warcraft 10-Year Anniversary event, this Brawl harkens to the early days of WoW PvP with an epic battle between the two towns of Tarren Mill and Southshore. In this game of war, you’ll need to work as a team to deplete your foes’ resources to claim victory.
Warsong Scramble – Capture the Flag
Do you have a flag? Warsong Gulch has always been the scene of an epic Capture the Flag battle, but what happens when you can capture your enemy’s flag without your own at base? Find out when you step into this PvP Brawl! We’ve also added a few more power-ups to the field of battle to stir things up a bit. To win, your team will need to be the first to capture 5 flags.
As with Micro-Holidays, these PvP Brawls are just the beginning. We look forward to seeing which ones become your favorites!

Death Knights are getting a mount with an awesome /mountspecial! Available in three tints: red for Blood, blue for Frost and green for Unholy. Deathlord's Vilebrood Vanquisher is unlocked after completing The Lost Glacier scenario.
The Death Knight is wearing Normal difficulty Tier 20 Set from Tomb of Sargeras.
