Need help - which healer do I choose?

Hello everybody,

I started at the end of WoD after a very long break. 

Now that I reached 110 with my main (warlock affliction), I am not getting the fun out of the game.

So I started twinking with my druid as tank which is fine.

 

Now to my question: My second twink will be a healer - but which one?

I wanna go mythic+ and maybe raiding (not 100% sure about that)

 

I don't want a resto druid yet (because tanking with it is enough so far), and I don't like a paladin as a heal because I won't enjoy
tho I heard resto druid is in a weak spot right now?

So it's between:

Priest (holy I guess, even tho i heard it's very weak right now? Is that true?)
Shaman (restoration, I played that in legion and it was solid - how about now?)
Monk (mistweaver, never even switched to that specialisation, but I wouldn't mind if its good and enjoyable)

 

Anyone can give me helpful advice regarding this?

 

If these question does not belong here, please give me some help with finding something meta-related, where I can see why which healer/tank etc is good right now.

I'm not sure where did you hear that a resto druid is in a weak spot now because it's actually completely the opposite: resto druids are counted as the best healers together with resto shamans in raids and are the best healers for Mythic+ (in general, because different keys would let different classes to shine). :)

What you should choose, it's up to your personal preferences and play style. There are a lot of threads like this on the different WoW forums (and here on IV too) but it always come to this: if you are not raiding Mythic in Top-50, choose whatever you enjoy, otherwise there's a good chance you would be told by your RL what to play.

Definitely agree with this. As someone that tanked M+8-10 multiple times on the beta, I felt VERY comfortable with a Druid healer behind me.

Let me say it another way. I really don't like druid for PvE. I love it in PvP but I'm not enjoying it in PvE.

And I've to change my target to: Only mythic+ and NO raiding.

 

So does this changes anything of my options? I am bad at deciding ;(

 

Let's say I dont like resto-druid and holy-pala... I dont like monk either because of the other two speccs of his...

 

So there is only priest and shaman... is there a winner in regard of mythic+?

So if you like tanking on the Druid Tank, before you turn in a quest switch to Resto and turn in the quest for a second set of gear.  

I actually like Boomkin form on my Druid now as well as healing.  But I used to only tank / heal.  Play what makes you happy,.

I'm maining a resto shaman and if you don't like resto druid, I'd say the shaman is a winner for M+. No other healing class has even close to a shaman's amount of utilities that would be a huge help in runs. We are the only healing class that have Hero, mass stun and a ranged interrupt on a short CD, group speed boost every 2 min, self ress (save a bress for dps) and a possibility for an additional bress (in talents). Plus our major healing CDs may be cast on move if needed.
