Folks at MMO-Champion noticed that Blizzard removed the leaked Kul Tiras questing armor in the latest 7.3 PTR build and to cover it up, they also removed some Throne of Thunder icons as some sort of distraction.

First of all, it doesn't make any sense to remove Throne of Thunder files (e.g. icons for the Last Stand of the ZandalariLast Stand of the Zandalari achievement) from the game. The only reason would be to distract us from the Kul Tiras armor removal.

Ian Bates, aka "The Red Shirt Guy", wrote an interesting theory over at BlizzPlanet, where he compares the removal to leaked Halloween masks related to Worgens & Goblins. You can read the full article here.

Kul Tiras expansion rumors begin to intesify, because Jaina is the key art representing World of Warcraft at BlizzCon 2017.

It means that we cannot determine anything from this fact other than that the icons got removed. You can speculate wildly about anything, but Blizzard knows for a fact that simply removing these icons from the current PTR build won't remove any rumors or make us magically forget anything.

And because the latter is true, we cannot determine anything with certainty and have to rely on some more official information or clues. Blizzard is known for toying with dataminers (Hell, there's even a superunique miniboss in Diablo 3 for it) so it can mean anything, nothing, everything.

The only answer is 42.

I hope Blizzard starts throwing a mega-ton of red herrings into builds...datamining has gone way overboard in my way of thinking.

It would be fun to really not know what is fact or fiction until the actual patch/expansion drops.

They've done a reasonable job with some of it, such as hiding how to obtain the worm mount. I'd love to see more of it like you mentioned. Things about balance, I can understand they want to know that right away (Also better to test that way) but fun things like how to get a special mount or special gear is nice to have hidden.

It definitely is very difficult to obscure things like that. Something like locked until you log in to play on the server or something might be doable, even then it might still be locked if its not opened from within the game.

But again, not easy to do and that also costs research and money. Perhaps we'll see it someday :)

I have more hints that are on live server. WoWScrnShot_083117_193258.jpgIf you look closely at the map that Thelbus Wimblenod is holding, it shows a bunch of blue isles and a few red ones. From the maps that are known around the WoW lore, the blue isles seem to be the known and confirmed places like Kezan, Zandalar, etc. While the red are places that we had yet to see. The Red X being Kul Tiras and on the other end, Darkspear Islands. It may be a long shot, but not that long.

With some of the stuff people normally say, this is basically perfect truth in comparison :p

Transmog collectors and the community are not particularly happy with personal loot rules used in leveling dungeons since Patch 7.3.5 launch. Blizzard will be reverting the change back in Battle for Azeroth by activating something called "legacy loot mode".
How Will Legacy Loot Mode Work?
The loot mode will activate automatically upon entering a dungeon or raid that's trivial for you (your character is 10+ levels higher than the dungeon or raid's intended level). The number of items dropped by bosses will be the same as it would have been if you were in a full party or raid. All items on the loot table will have a chance to drop, regardless of your set Loot Specialization. Loot will be tradable and split among members of your party or raid. You can learn more about transmog in our section!
      Blizzard (Source)
Since the Patch 7.3.5 change to use personal loot rules in leveling dungeons, we’ve heard a lot of feedback from Transmog hunters concerned about how this has affected the ability to collect appearances from older content. We hear you, and agree it’s a problem, so we’ve been working on a more robust solution for Battle for Azeroth. Once these updates are implemented, entering a dungeon or raid that is trivial for you (i.e.: your character is 10 or more levels higher than the dungeon or raid’s intended level) will activate a “legacy loot mode.” That loot mode will work like this:
The number of items dropped by bosses will be the same as it would have been if you were in a full party. So if you’re in a 5-player dungeon, you’ll get 5 players’ worth of loot. For raids with a flexible raid size (such as Raid Finder), this will act as though there were 20 players in the raid. All items on the loot table will have a chance to drop, not just the ones that are designated for your spec. If you have multiple players in the group, the loot will be split among those players, but be tradeable. For example, if you’re clearing with one other player and kill a boss that should drop 4 items, you’ll each be able to pick up two items and trade them between each other if you like. While the personal loot change was a key part of what allowed us to expand leveling dungeons to encompass a wider range of levels, and we’re happy with it in that environment, we recognize that it’s not a great experience for those who enjoy clearing older content for transmog, and hope that these changes will make that more enjoyable once they’re complete.
Thanks again for all of the feedback!
