Antorus Raid Trinkets with Interesting Procs

Recommended Posts

A set of titan-themed Antorus trinkets seems to have some pretty spectacular endboss-only secondary procs!

With 7.3.2 on the PTR there's been a lot of new discoveries, and the trinkets coming with Antorus: The Burning Throne are certainly among the most interesting. They are all titan themed and all have a standard proc and then an additional unique proc. While it's unclear when exactly this "Empowered by the Pantheon" effect occurs, it seems likely it's connected to a particular part of the Argus the Unmaker encounter (as per the Encounter Journal). Since these secondary procs are pretty insane stat wise (at least for now, you never know with PTR numbers) it seems very likely they will only be present during a part of the Argus fight, perhaps acting as a soft nerf over time for guilds, but they could also be present in the rest of the raid, we'll just have to wait and find out.

But enough fluff, let's take a look at the actual items!

So, what do you think about these pretty crazy trinkets and their potential use as tools to make the endboss easier?

Looking to me like it might be exclusive to casters, given the Int proc on it.

I'm interested in Khaz'goroth's Courage, given the damage that may come from the proc which would work everywhere (that'd be nice with Jeweled Signet of Melandrus for Fury Warriors wouldn't it?) and the special proc on it would only make it even stronger, at least if you've been stacking Haste as you should if you're Fury.

Vitality looks pretty good though especially if there's large AoE (4ppm at 15 second duration?... isn't that 100% uptime?) At least that proc shouldn't be available just everywhere... adds up with the small extra proc on it, and either way 3k raw main stat is pretty significant isn't it?

I mean I guess on Thas'dorah it's like 92k damage per mob per auto attack but if you got just 10 adds that's nearly 1 million extra damage per auto attack which would really add up. Watch Blizzard have nearly no opportunities to make full use of that effect by never having any large waves of adds though :p

Yeah, finally they replace a world boss loot what is only killable every second month, that was absolutely bad desing, so yeah, finally here the new, more easily farmebla version for us. I'm happy with it.

Finally I can replace that shitty Whispers in the Dark that's making me depend on farming Nighthold.

I think mythic version still will be the BiS for affliction warlock :/ Maybe the combination of Aman'Thul's Wisdom and Acrid Catalyst InjectorAcrid Catalyst Injector will be better, but i'm not sure about it.

The tank trinket is still pretty underwheming. Just an armor proc, not interesting, and +2M hp is nice, but it's not like i'm going to be dying to get it.

BUT HEY THAT 5K HASTE PROC MAKES MY BDK D**K HARD MATE.

Tank one almost looks like a trap. No static stats aside from Strength, and the procs are rng; super powerful when the antorus one goes off, but for a prot paladin at least it feels like this one could fool your healers into a false sense of security.

So... the vitality one lasts 15 sec and procs about 4 times per minute. 4*15=60 so it's basically always up? Or am I reading it wrong?

It could proc over itself - it might proc 4 times in 4 seconds, giving a total of 19 seconds uptime.

Reddit user leothar noticed on the Beta that you transmogrify wands into other one-hand weapon types as of the latest Beta Build 35432.
In Shadowlands, players will be able to transmogrify each shoulder separately. Another exciting change discovered on the Beta is that you can transmogrify wands into other one-handed weapons,
So as a Mage, you will be able to transmog wands into one-handed swords and daggers.
As a Priest, you can transmog wants into one-handed maces, and daggers (as seen in the image below).

Among other notable items added in Beta Build 35432, we found two that suggest Hunters will be able to tame Cloud Serpents and Undead Beasts in Shadowlands.
How to School Your Serpent requires Exalted with the Order of the Cloud Serpent, the Mists of Pandaria faction, which can be easily farmed during Mists Timewalking if you haven't reached the required reputation standing yet and the item teaches you how to tame Cloud Serpents.
"A lighthearted and picture-filled book on training cloud serpents as pets. A favorite bedtime book of Pandaren children." Simple Tome of Bone-Binding is also new, and we think it is tied to the Necrolord Covenant in Maldraxxus, since necromancy is their area of expertise. It teaches you how to tame Undead Beasts.
"A tome written by members of the House of Rituals, in large letters and using simple words, to teach the House of the Chosen members how to bind undead beasts to them. There are pictures." The Hunter stable size has been increased to 205 Slots in Shadowlands, so giving Hunters two new pet families to tame is a welcome addition.

A new patch went live recently on the Beta, so we're breaking it down today to highlight what's new and we'll start with items, namely the new Heirloom set called Regalia of the Fabled Adventurers and its set bonuses.
Although the system has not been fully implemented yet on the Beta, Blizzard added new Heirlooms with the previously-mentioned set bonuses to the game.
The new Heirloom set is called Regalia of the Fabled Adventurers and consists of 7 armor pieces:
Heirloom Chestpiece Heirloom Cloak Heirloom Helm Heirloom Legs Heirloom Necklace Heirloom Ring Heirloom Shoulders Set Bonuses
2-Piece Set Bonus: Maximizing Rests - Rested experience consumed 30% slower. 3-Piece Set Bonus: Battlefield Resourcefulness - Increases your out-of-combat regeneration in the outdoors, normal dungeons and battlegrounds. 4-Piece Set Bonus: Flash of Brilliance - Gaining a level triggers Burst of Knowledge, dealing 2,167 Holy damage to nearby enemies and granting you 40% Primary Stat for 2 min. Defeating additional enemies can extend this effect. 6-Piece Set Bonus: Maximizing Rests - Rested experience consumed an additional 30% slower. Other Heirloom items added on the Beta include the following items that have no effects/stats thus far:
Heirloom Ring Heirloom Trinket Heirloom Trinket You can find more details about all leveling changes coming in Shadowlands in our guide.

The Great Vault aka the new weekly chest had received a lot of criticism lately, specifically for its Mythic+ and PvP requirements. In its previous iteration, while ranks 1 and 2 seemed fine, you had to successfully complete 15 M+ runs to get the 3rd rank, compared to 10 raid bosses downed and a measly 250 Conquest Points.

In today's beta build these numbers have been heavily modified, as the M+ ranks have become easier, while the PvP ones much harder:
      Mythic+:
      Rank 1: 1 M+ (unchanged) Rank 2:  4 M+ (1 less) Rank 3: 10 M+ (5 less) PvP:
      Rank 1: 125 Conquest (25 more) Rank 2: 350 Conquest (200 more) Rank 3: 875 Conquest (625 more) Raids:
Unchanged And so unlocking the third choice from M+ has become much easier, while all three in PvP are harder, with the third being a lot more demanding. Also remember, these are just additional choices, you will still only receive 1 piece of loot per week.

Today's beta update brings the character wipe, a workaround for the DK, DH and Allied Race creation issues, some DHs might have facial feature issues and the recently announced heirloom changes are not yet implemented.
      August 5 (source)
The character wipe is complete, the Beta has been updated to the latest build, and testers can now resume.
      Known Issues
On first logging in, testers will not be able to make a Death Knight, Demon Hunter, or Allied Races character. Until this is fixed, you can make a level 50 template, log in to that character, and then log out. You should have full access to create any classes or race. After doing a character copy, you should begin with the quest “A Chilling Summons” to avoid potential difficulties. Some Demon Hunter player-characters may have missing facial features. This may be fixable by going to a barber shop and changing your tattoos. Forthcoming adjustments to heirloom bonuses are not yet implemented.
