Heroes Brawl - Trial Grounds: Dec 29

Trial Grounds is a new brawl available for gameplay this week. It's a single-lane Overwatch-themed battleground, where you need to slay all Heroes on the enemy team to claim victory. Complete three matches to earn a Winter Loot Chest.

Elimination

  • Defeat all opponents to win a round. The first team to win two rounds wins the match.

Experimental Ordnance

  • After 30 seconds, a random objective spawns in the center of the battleground. Be ready for anything!
  • Capture the objective to gain a significant advantage over your opponents.
  • Some objectives are from other battlegrounds, and some are brand new!

We're All the Same Hero Now

  • All players on both teams play as the same hero. A different hero is randomly selected every round.

Additional Info

  • No respawns. Every hero has one life per round.
  • If no hero on your team is alive, the round is lost.

The Nexus Forces have taken over a Volskaya Industries Factory, fight to the death to obtain its manufactured power! Two teams enter, one team leaves.

Rules:

  • Battle it out on a single-lane Overwatch-themed Battleground known only as… the Trial Grounds.
  • Shuffle Pick
    • Choose from one of three Heroes at the beginning of the match. Choose carefully though, you won’t have the opportunity to choose again after rounds.
  • Elimination
    • A round is won when all Heroes on the enemy team are slain.
  • Best of Three
    • The first team to win two rounds will win the Brawl!
  • Round Events 
    • Starting at 60 seconds, an elevator will rise in the center of the Battleground, presenting one of the following challenges to both teams:
      • Tribute
        • Capture the Tribute to reduce the health of all enemy Heroes to 1!
      • Capture Point 
        • Capture the point to spawn a Triglav Protector for your team!
      • Artifact
        • Artifact spawns in the center of the Battleground. The first Hero to walk over it gains its power!
          • The Hero that kills the artifact carrier will claim it for themselves.
      • Dueling Immortals
        • Immortals spawn for each team in the center of the Battleground.
        • Once an immortal has been slain, the winning team’s Immortal will take to the sky, revealing the map and raining destruction onto the enemy Heroes.
      • Safe Zone 
        • A Safe Zone is created at the center of the Battleground.
        • Every 15 seconds the entire map is electrified, and only those in the Safe Zone will be protected.
      • There’s also a chance for no event at all. You’ll just have to rely on your own ruthless skills to take down the enemy Heroes and be the last team standing!

Rewards:

  • Complete three matches of Trial Grounds to earn a Loot Chest!

It looks interesting. I’m not too sure about it, it seems like it might be a very one sided brawl though. Get the objective and it’s an instant win... I really do hope it’s not one sided. The potential for comebacks in this game isn’t what it used to be, especially when assasains kill each other within 2 seconds, and supports can’t do as much as they used to. A one sided brawl is not something we need to bring to the game. But, I have hope. I’ll try it first, then judge it.

I liked escape from braxis and I liked this even more! 
so much  fun and unpredictability. I hope they make more of this in the future.
and better, I hope they make a 5 vs 1 mode like they did in OW. Now this will be epic.

Most brawls are one sided to some degree, its the nature of the gamemode, but the games end so fast its not really an issue. The objectives of this brawl seem fine imo outside the ravenlord tribute, thats literally autowin once you capture it, ofc the channel can and should be interrupted but still it being such an "instant gg" objective is fairly obnoxious.

One of best brawls we had.. personally i think brawls should be something fun and casual and they should take less time than normal matches...

some of current brawls are really looking like normal matches with addition of some stuffs or some rules like mage brawl  so they take much time and aren't something new and much interesting for players

some may be not funny for all(most which looks like normal games) and also that new PVE brawl... it was good but not casual because as I remember people were caring much about win since u had to win to get chest and that caused having strategies and people were insulting each other(there wasn't a fun atmosphere however brawl was good itself,maybe it could be a new gamemode not a brawl haha)

I just feel this and chromie/stitches brawls(I don't remember others right now sorry) were very funny and they didn't need much time to complete and they were so interesting with new ideas behind them

Certainly looks nice and interesting. They're making so many new ones. The downside is, with so many available, you have no idea when a brawl you like will be.

As long as you don't get Probius. I still think this is rather lame anyway. Just a Team Deathmatch? Weak.

 

Chromie/Stitches were the best Brawls lol. No comparison with this...

I tried it yesterday and it is one of the most fun Brawls so far. With the randomized objectives and Heroes, it becomes pure mayhem. I just hope that the Lost Vikings and Abathur are part of that Hero pool.

It is rather fun, but I wish it would take a little bit longer than it does now. Some games are so short that it takes almost the same amount of time for queue + loading screen and character select. So double HP or sth like that would make it more interesting (for me).

Still, escape from Braxis rules.

I hope not, specially in the case of Abathur. Well, I don't really care anyway since I already got my free loot chest. But 10 Abathurs would have been retarded as hell. Sure each of them gets a hat but there's no point on it if they're not moving from base anyway.
