Maiev Shadowsong Hero Reveal: Jan 25

Been a while since playing her. Was she available in that first WC3 heroes battle mod that gave us a taste of hero battles without their armies? Remember Samuro and a Troll, but a little fuzzy on her.

Colour me hyped. Saving up now. Will be really interesting to see what they do with her. Like I said in the thread about the teaser Avatar Of Vengeance, perhaps her most iconic ability, is gonna be something I wanna see how or even if they implement.

I highly doubt she will be a perma-stealth hero, or even stealth as much as Samuro. When I think of Maeiv and Wardens in general I don't think of invisibility.

If you mean DotA All-Stars no, she wasn't put in as a Warden-type hero but they used her model (or the Avatar of Vengeance model) for Mortred, Phantom Assassin (an extremely late-game melee hard-carry who had built in evasion, crit and some sort of blink).

If she was going for a Shadowmeld-esque thing I can see it being similar to Templar Assassin's, a Dota hero, Meld. A stationary invis that adds bonus damage if it's broken with an auto attack. I'd make it a ranged attack too.

Junkrat's trait can be major trouble for melee Heroes, not only assassins that want to get up close and personal, even tanks can be in a whole world of hurt (and trouble). Or, if you like living dangerously like and go in for the execute with Calamity with Li-Ming hehe (but Diamond Skin + Domination are life savers; that thing's just too broken lul). It does ofc seem not very useful (as with all traits that require your Hero to die in order to proc; notable exception being Uther).

As for Maiev, if they wanna give her a stealth/invisibility trait no matter what, they could play along Night Elves' nature (like in WC3) where she is fully invisible only when near trees,still or moving, (night?). It wouldn't be an S tier trait but something's better than nothing, am I right or left? :>

Dunno what it was called. It was basically your RTS heroes played solo in teams or was it coop? Think there were a couple wave survivor team maps. Never really heard of Dota before a couple months ago. So I don't really know if I played it or not.

Yeah, I was pretty much thinking of races that you can play in WoW. So weird that they have everything else already other then Draenei. Tons of Elves and Orcs though :p

This was the thing that started it all back in the day; what inspired it was that mission where as Kael'thas and Vaasj (or however "her" name was spelled) you need to get Illidan's cage from Maiev back in your base to free him and you only have control of your heroes- armies spawn and march to do battle with one another.

      General Map Updates Balance Update Known Issues & Bug Fixes General
      All Quests that can lose stacks will never cause the player to fall below milestone thresholds. Pinnacle Rewards are now named Mythic Rewards to give a more Blizzard feel. So Mythic-y! The following Summoned Units now lose health each second: Demon Lieutenants, Demon Warriors, Gargantuan, Hydralisks, Roaches, Rock-It Turrets, Rush Zombies, Scarabs, Treants, Tumors, and Water Elementals. Total Health and Duration of these Summoned Units have been adjusted to compensate for this. Structures now prioritize Summoned Units when there are no remaining minions. Summoned Units no longer take half damage from Structures. XP Globe pickup sound is now also played when killing a minion that instantly yields XP. Updated Homescreen and Startup Music. Return to Top

At 35 stacks, Storm Bolt pierces to hit an additional target, and Muradin's Basic Attack reduces the cooldown of Storm Bolt by 0.5 seconds. Mythic Reward: At 150 stacks, Storm Bolt's range is increased by 50% and width is increased by 100%, and now pierces all targets. Talents
