Mythic Keystone Seasons Coming in Battle for Azeroth

A Seasonal affix has been added to the game along with achievements hinting at Mythic Keystone Seasons in Battle for Azeroth.

From Slootbag's PAX East 2018 interview it's clear that Blizzard wants to add Seasonal affixes to the game in Battle for Azeroth and make achievements more in line with Ahead of the Curve / Cutting Edge achievements.

Seasonal Affixes

Inspired by Uldir's final boss G'huun, we found an interesting new affix called Infested.

Affix Description
Infested Non-Boss enemies have been infested with a Spawn of G'huun.

Seasonal Achievements

In the latest Beta Build 26707, they've added the following achievements related to Mythic+ Seasons.

I like the idea in theory, but it depends on the rewards if it matters or not.

M+ never about "physical" rewards, its' about RESPECT!

Btw hope they bring more goals than this two.

Err I guess so, I just want some decent cosmetics, because I think everyone agrees that Legion dungeon transmogs were a) hideous b) repetitive.  I'd really like to see them do something like they do with raids and PvP, extra tints for doing the content at the hardest level.

Like

N/H/0-5: Base LFR pleb look
6-10: Slightly better.
11-15: Better again
16-20: Pretty damn good.
20+: God-Tier.

It would work with your idea of respect too, walking around with full 20+ transmog would like working around in full T3 back in classic.

Sorry, nope. There are a ton of players just doing 1 weekly mythic + key at lvl 15 to just get the best reward. But its okay, if you feel more respected by doing mythic +, this is also a good thing :-)!

Rewards would be nice but just the achievement will make me care about doing all m+15 this time around :)

Love the idea.

More groups searching for rewards, means more chances for peole to earn them and more interest in them overall.

Even if its just achieves and toys, its super easy to do and I cant imagine the programming part of it is 'expensive' for Blizzard.

All that matters for M+ anyway is your R.IO score and ability to pick and switch to current FOTM class.

Eh. Smart people do them (easily) with guildies.

Unless "20+" means less than 0.1% obtain it by the end of the expansion, this isn't going to be happening.

Well it was an example but honestly what percentage of the player base is timing +20 keys? A very small one I'd say. I know I'm not, I've timed exactly one +20 and that was on an easy week, I mostly hover around 18/19.

I hope that they make mythic plus more meaningful in bfa. I do endless mythic + but all my gear is from the few hours of the week I spend clearing the raid and the weekly cache for M+. I honestly barely do anything besides the weekly these days because the reward is so little compared to the time spent.

Also, this is kind of off topic, I know they had mentioned how weapons wouldn't be titan forged, and I'm very concerned about that, especially in M+. Cuz it was meant to be at least a partial alternative to raiding and forcing me to go to raids for weapons would be annoying.

I'm pretty sure the way M+ loot is handled will change, at least slightly, in regards to how it warforges/titanforges. Frankly it has to, other than the cache very a lot people are very unlikely get a non-forged upgrade from a 15, hell the cache itself hasn't gave my main an upgrade (or even an offspec upgrade) in months.

M+ was the big hit of legion as well, they'd have to be mad to neuter it as a gearing choice.

The new War Within Allied Races was added to the Alpha today and we already have a full look at not only all their customization options, but their dances as well, courtesy of MrGM! You can check out the Earthen's racial abilities here if you missed them earlier.
Let's start with the more dynamic feature, with both male and female dances:
And then there's big amount of customization options, as well as a size comparison with regular dwarves:

So, are we liking the new Allied Race overall? More than actual dwarves?

Here's a really cool possibility for the War Within, as a very subtle and mildly mysterious comment from Executive Producer and Vice President for WoW, Holly Longdale, may be hinting at our Warband characters getting a lot more involved in our travels!
First spotted by UlthansWrath, Longdale came up to Taliesin & Evitel at the recent London War Within Alpha press event and had a short chat about the Warband screen, when she casually said "wouldn't it be cool if those were the characters you took as your followers in your Follower Dungeons?" After the obvious confirmation from Taliesin and Evitel that, yes, yes it would be cool, she just said "hm" and that was the end of the conversation.
Obviously this isn't any sort of official confirmation, but considering this is a really awesome idea, it seems likely Blizzard are at the very least discussing it, if not already working on it.

The Warband system is already great, and this would add a lot to it for players that choose to go solo into dungeons, as it would give them even more motivation to get some great characters in their Warband - even if it was just a cosmetic option.
So, what do you think, will we be seeing this feature when the War Within launches?
