Mole Machine Locations in Battle for Azeroth

Recommended Posts

It turns out that the Dark Iron Dwarf Mole MachineMole Machine can port you to even more destinations in Battle for Azeroth, by discovering mole machines scattered across the world.

On Friday, we looked at the Dark Iron Dwarf Hub - Shadowforge City. The WoW Secret Finding Discord discovered up to sixteen mole machines (new locations) that can be found in the open world.

If you travel to each location and click the mole machine, the new location will be added to your racial ability.

A list of all known locations can be found by clicking the image below.

Kudos to the WoW Secret Finding Discord, Thulnir, Rufaic, Haflan, Thormil of the Mead Hall RP community on Wyrmrest Accord, BelSalles and /u/Pufflesgaming for finding the first mole machine that kicked off the hunt!

16. Wow. Unless some of them are in bad locations randomly in cataclysm or northrend that sounds super handy. A nearly instant flight path. Possibly even more useful than mage portals, given that most expansion hubs have a hand full of portals between the major cities anyways.

My first Dark Iron Dwarf's name will be "Simon" (from Gurren Lagann anime).

This drill can go between Draenor, Outland and Azeroth.

So let me get this straight they took away displacer beast from Druids and gust of wind from Shaman using the rational that it infringed on the Mage's blink ability... But they are giving an entire race a transport ability on par with mages and engineers...

Hypocrisy thee name is Blizzard.

Displacer beast and gust of wind have a bit more viabillity then saving on travel time though. Not to mention the other talents on that row was never gonna be picked while they where still there.

Personally I don't mind the Dark Iron getting the mole machine, I think it's rather nifty actually, but I despise double standards. They can't use a rational for one action then completely ignore it five seconds later, not without people calling them out on this BS.

As for the talents in the row being useless and making you take it... That's hardly something new or revolutionary at all. There are tons of dead rows in WoW in basically every class, either they have one talent that is just that good or the others are simply that bad.

Heck Mage itself has the exact same issue, why on earth would you take anything other than Shimmer (at least for Fire and Frost) except in some really niche situations?

Like mage can open the portal for other people as well. Are these mole machines too accessible by party members?

The new War Within Allied Races was added to the Alpha today and we already have a full look at not only all their customization options, but their dances as well, courtesy of MrGM! You can check out the Earthen's racial abilities here if you missed them earlier.
Let's start with the more dynamic feature, with both male and female dances:
And then there's big amount of customization options, as well as a size comparison with regular dwarves:

So, are we liking the new Allied Race overall? More than actual dwarves?

Here's a really cool possibility for the War Within, as a very subtle and mildly mysterious comment from Executive Producer and Vice President for WoW, Holly Longdale, may be hinting at our Warband characters getting a lot more involved in our travels!
First spotted by UlthansWrath, Longdale came up to Taliesin & Evitel at the recent London War Within Alpha press event and had a short chat about the Warband screen, when she casually said "wouldn't it be cool if those were the characters you took as your followers in your Follower Dungeons?" After the obvious confirmation from Taliesin and Evitel that, yes, yes it would be cool, she just said "hm" and that was the end of the conversation.
Obviously this isn't any sort of official confirmation, but considering this is a really awesome idea, it seems likely Blizzard are at the very least discussing it, if not already working on it.

The Warband system is already great, and this would add a lot to it for players that choose to go solo into dungeons, as it would give them even more motivation to get some great characters in their Warband - even if it was just a cosmetic option.
So, what do you think, will we be seeing this feature when the War Within launches?
