The highly-anticipated spotlight for Sally Whitemane is here and we're taking a first look at her kit!

High Inquisitor Whitemane (Ranged Support)

As the High Inquisitor of the Scarlet Crusade, Sally Whitemane zealously leads her champions in a never-ending war against the undead. Under her guiding Light, all who have been touched by the plague of death will be purged by her cleansing flame… even those who attempt to hide in the Nexus!

Abilities Overview

Hero Trait

Zeal

Whitemane's healing Abilities apply Zeal for 8 seconds. Allies with Zeal are healed for 100% of the damage Whitemane deals to Heroes.

Primary Abilities

Q - Despeate Plea
Heal an allied Hero for 145 and gain Desperation for 4 seconds. Desperation increases Desperate Plea's Mana cost by 60, and stacks up to 3 times. Current Mana Cost: 30

W - Inquisiton

Channel on an enemy Hero for up to 3 seconds, dealing 53 damage every 0.5 seconds and Slowing them by 30%.

E - Searing Lash

After 0.5 seconds, smite enemies in a straight line for 82 damage. If the first strike hits an enemy Hero, a second strike will occur after a short delay.

Heroic Abilities 

R1 - Scarlet Aegis

Bolster the spirits of nearby allied Heroes, healing them for 250 and granting them 40 Armor for 4 seconds.

R2 - Divine Reckoning

After 1 second, consecrate an area for 4 seconds, dealing 50 damage every 0.5 seconds to enemies inside.

She looks very challenging to play, since she has no crowd control abilities nor escapes whatsoever in her base kit, and requires to be in constant action in order to make full of her healing power. Her kit is pretty much what I expected to be (healing through direct damage), but I assume she will require a very VERY solid frontline, otherwise she will be taken down in no time.

Looks good, pretty straightforward as she brings both healing and some damage with cc, though managing her trait might be a little tricky sometimes. First, she needs to apply some healing to allies, and then deal some damage to enemies, which makes it rather situational.

As down as I am on her being the first priest in the nexus the kit at least looks interesting. She does look like a 5 and done for me though as a support without some way to compensate for messed up positioning. She very much looks like a character I wouldn't be good with

Shes going to combo like mad with certain heroes.  That channeled slow could be huge with heroes like neo raynor or anyone that capitalizes on slowed heroes.

I'm going to reserve judgment on her lack of escape until I see her talents.  Alex has similar issues and shes still considered one of the better supports.

Alex has escapes though or at least disengages. Her fire breathing ult is an escape and wing buffet in dragon form functions as an escape/disengage. They're big cooldowns but she does have them.

That slow beam and the heroic that pulls look nice at least. Looks like a nice way of getting burst damage to land more consistently by other players. Or just peel without getting into melee like Uther.

She's a good last pick if the enemy team doesn't have a strong dive like sonya or such.    Beyond that though it's hard to argue for a support that only has a channeled slow and no escape or hard cc.

Increase by 60 and stack 3 time?! So 30 - 90 - 150 - 210? Q four times and OOM on lvl 1?

Her kit looks very cool and interesting to play. Blizz is really showing their "healing minigame" politics. Depending on her stats (mainly HP and dmg) she might be able to trade with plenty non-assassins, since she can use Zeal on herself. And it seems that for her healing output to be significant your team will have to stay close-ish, not as much as Ariel and more similar to Stukov. Both ults are cool, with Divine Reckoning having an enormous healing potential depending on how many enemy heroes you are damaging, and how many of your team have Zeal up. She might be one of the most complicated characters to play effectively. I just hope they get her numbers right.

The most surprising thing was the glaring difference between the teaser yesterday and her in game model. Pants, who needs them, right?

If theres a low cooldown then all can have zeal up simultaneously.  That gives something like her damaging ult massive group heal potential, potentially healing 200-400 health on multiple targets before scaling.

She didn't have pants there either. If you look closely, there is an exposed thigh, I guess coloring may have made some people think otherwise.

She is just one of those characters that are too cool to wear pants like the common rabble, just look at Gul'dan as another example. The "pants" has the same model as one of the more.. infamous cloth pants (for females) in WoW.

But before ult it's basically a twisted version of Malfurion's Q-W combo but costs way more mana or less multi-target healing. I'm just saying the early game for her seems to be quite tough.

Yeah, wow that's huge.  An AoE cleanse is the sort of thing that can be meta defining.

That will single-handedly ruin ETC.

As previously mentioned she didn't wear any pants there either. You can see the front part of her "tabard" thingy being draped over her right leg but you can clearly see the lack of pants and an exposed thigh. And there's nothing wrong with it. It's okay for a character to be "sexy". It doesn't have to undermine the character and it isn't inherently sexist in any way, contrary to popular belief.

I think you're right, but the tradeoff is she can burst heal a single target with her Q multiple times (even if inefficient), something Malf can't do as well.  Malf struggles more against burst and I dont think she will as hard while still having some multi target options.

Scarlet Aegis might mix with Yrel quite well. If armor bonus stacks, Yrel's going to get +80 armor for 4 sec.
