BfA Leveling Guide

Recommended Posts

I cannot confirm that, but the guide does not suggest that the Heirloom would scale up to 120. They never scaled to the current expansion. It only says that it scales up to 110, which should be fine.

ok , thanks, just to clarify though, the guide states that it is a BfA guide to 120, then goes into a detailed explanation about heirlooms. Which is somewhat misleading. i think it would be best to make clear to people that they cannot use those heirlooms from 110-120, so that they dont go and spend a lot of gold on them and then get disappointed.

Heirlooms are disabled. They provide NO Bonus, not even on Broken Shore. They also used to level up past 160 on BS and they do not even do that anymore. Testing done with 110 Mage that had completed first Azerite quests to get Necklace and Chest Piece. I Wasted over 40K Gold on leveling Heirlooms prior to testing so they were all at max level.

According to the guide, one should be able to complete any of the areas in Kul Tiras with level 113. However, I´m level 118 and I´m not able to complete storylines because I can´t win the Marshal at Drustvar or the Director at the Stormfront Island, or to save Samuel Williams. I´ve read before that it`s easy to reach level 120 within hours, but I´m stuck for several days, as I´m not finding any new quests, apart from the ones I already completed and the ones I can´t complete, so the only way I see for gaining experience points would be to kill monsters on my own in a repetitive way, which sincerely would be quite boring. Anybody can help me?

I mean, i'm 115 right now and I'm barely halfway through my first area. Haven't found any quests that are "difficult" per say. If you can't find any quests you can beat, I'd say your gear is the problem. Buy some cheap stuff off the ah, and then consult your pathfinder progress to see where the storyline quests are, because I can guarantee you haven't finished the main stories and not hit 120.

While the difficulty will ramp up significantly from 117 onwards due to scaling being weird, you really should have no difficulties unless you pull entire packs of mobs all in one. Everything is soloable regardless of spec. I would consult your spec's guide to check if you are doing something fundamentally wrong. If you are having trouble with a specific quest, it's worth checking out wowhead's database and comments to see if people have a solution for you (just google "wowhead [questname]").

Another week has gone by in Mythic+ and we have plenty of changes, as Shamans surge, Retribution does well and more. This week's tuning hasn0t affected the rankings yet, but we'll see what happens next week!
Note: The logs are based on POINTS, and not actual damage or healing, meaning they log the timed completion for the specs, with higher keys getting more points, obviously. The time in which the dungeon is completed is also a factor, but a much, much smaller one, as it grants very few points if you do it significantly faster than just any in-time completion. We're also using the Normalized Aggregate Scores numbers, for clarity, meaning the top spec is marked as 100 and then the rest are ranked in relation to that peak point.
      This past week was:
      Fortified, Afflicted, Raging
      All Keys
      95th percentile DPS
You just can't keep Fire down no matter what you do. While the top 2 remains the same, the Mage spec claws back up into 3rd after having gone down for a little while. The Shamans have united and are stronger together apparently, as they take over 5th and 6th, with Enhancement leading the way. The biggest mover this past week was definitely Retribution, as it gains 5 spots in 7th. Fury drops down 3 spots into 8th, just ahead of a very stable Havoc and a resurgent Survival, which leaps 5 up into 10th. Unholy joins Affliction and Assassination in the bottom 3.

Mythic+ All Keys 95th Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      All Percentiles
The top 3 is more stable in the generalist bracket, but Fire also rises here, moving quite a bit more, 3 spots in fact. Enhancement is doing better here as well and Elemental is doing even more so, with the melee side of Shamans up 2 in 5th and the spellcaster up a giant 7 spots in 9th! Retribution is up here as well and Fury is down, Windwalker moves down as well and Havoc remains the rock of both rankings, anchoring it all in 10th here.

Mythic+ All Keys All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Tanks
There's been quite the re-shuffle with tanks as we see Paladins on top and Brewmasters way down in 4th after being in the lead at the start of the season. Vengeance has also moved quite a bit up into 2nd, while Blood remains stable in 3rd and Druids and Warriors remain at the bottom.

Tank All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.
      Healers
Shamans reign supreme still, while Discipline takes over 2nd and Holy also rises one into 3rd. Preservation is down two, while the bottom 3 remain the same as at the start of the season.
Healer All Percentile Data by Warcraft Logs.

For even more in-depth data for each individual key head on over to Warcraft Logs. And if you're interested in more info on the specs themselves you can always check out our class guides, as well as our Mythic+ guides and Mythic+ tier list.

As with other megadungeons, Dawn of the Infinite will be separated into two wings with Mythic+ and Heroic difficulty available in a future update to the game.
This will probably occur at around Season 3 when a new dungeon rotation's added.
The latest Patch 10.1.5 Build 49908 adds entries of two separate wings for the Dawn of the Infinite megadungeon, which means it will be enabled for Mythic+ in the future with Heroic difficulty available:
Dawn of the Infinite: Galakrond's Fall - The infinite dragonflight has invaded the Bronze Temple. Help Nozdormu and Chromie take back the Timeways! Dawn of the Infinite: Murozond's Rise - Murozond rises. Race against time with Chromie to correct the past!

Blizzard is adding upgrade tracks for Mythic Item Level 441 gear in Patch 10.1.5.

Rank 1 Upgrade: Item Level 441 > 443 Rank 2 Upgrade: Item Level 443 - 445 Rank 3 Upgrade: Item level 445-447 The change also applies retroactively to Great Vault loot / any loot obtained before the patch goes live, as per Reddit comments.
