WoW Netflix Show Fan Trailer

Recommended Posts

With a fair amount of game adaptations heading over to Netflix in TV show form, the most recent and significant being the Witcher, Str1der has taken it upon himself to make a trailer for what a World of Warcraft show might look like. With the Warcraft movie not having done so well and having somewhat deviated from the original lore (although, so has the game itself at this point), it would really be a nice thing to see all the ancillary content featured in novels and comics etc. brought together in TV show format.

The trailer is pretty well put together, however the choice of the song "Human" is clearly Alliance-favoritism and wholly inappropriate, therefore we all need to boycott it!!11 (For those of you that are sensitive to the faction allegiances, well, first of all, what's wrong with you, and second, that was a joke.)

My personal favorite is when Illidan shows up and the song goes "some people have real problems", which is perhaps one of the most accurate song to scene pairings in the history of trailers.

So, what do you think of the trailer and the idea of a Netflix WoW show? Should it focus on present day Azeroth and follow the expansions to give us a better understanding of the characters we interact with, or would you prefer it to start from the very beginning and eventually catch up?

An A-Team '80s stlye series would be much more appropiate for WoW with protagonists like Alliance's Rambo (Keeshan), Flynn Fairwind or Horde's Gazlowe and Voss doing general adventuring and saving the world rather than a follow-up on the main storyline.

Looks too... Random, honestly, to be likabe. On top of having Saurfang's voice over the lyrics, which is just bad editing.
Also, I still haven't forgiven them the Death Note.

You were the chosen one! You were supposed to destroy the demons, not join them!

Can we just get a dramatization of the story of Arthas, please? The tale of his tragic fall is the epitome of the stereotypical “the road to damnation is paved with good intentions” idiom and would be well suited for the cinema/Netflix.

"The trailer is pretty well put together" - Ah? So a bunch of random scenes from trailers, scenes and in game cinematics with one song playing is something pretty well put together? Honestly this can be likeable by someone who never play wow and who doesn't have any idea of what is happening in that trailer, so much randomness lacking of any kind of sense...

IMO, it'd make a really good movie if it was an adaptation where Arthas never finds Frostmourne, but basically follows the same route he did in WC3 - i.e. Arthas himself becomes the reason of his downfall, not some magical McGuffin influencing him, which cheapens a lot of development he has gone through in Allliance RoC Campaign.
Alas, Frostmourne is too iconic for it to ever happen :(

So many people saying that trailer is awful.

Maybe it was supposed to be awful to show that show would be awful? Because then the job is well done ?

Now you are just overthinking it terribly.

We have a really easy way to get any missing Legendary memories without having to do any of the related activities, but it may take a long time to get to it if you haven't been keeping up with your Covenant.
You may have/most likely did miss this little detail in your Renown quartermaster's inventory, as he sells the Chronicle of Lost Memories item which will unlock a random not-already-learned legendary memory. This includes memories from raids, PvP, Torghast and any other activity or even reputation vendor (but you'll still need rep for that last one)!

      Source.
The catch is you need to have reinforced 4 permanent locations with your Covenant Anima Conductor. This requires you to have at least the rank 2 Conducor AND to have basically reinforced a location most days since Shadowlands launched, since you'll need 40 reinforced locations to get the 4 permanent ones needed, and each takes 24 hours to reset. For some players this means it'll take a while to gain access to this, but for some it'll be immediately available.

You'll need the Grateful Offering currency you get from the reinforced anima location activities to buy a memory, but you should have plenty if you've done them at all (I have 100+ and haven't been doing a lot of them).
As mentioned, an important caveat is that reputation-based memories still require you to have the needed rep in order to use them, so this unfortunately isn't a method of skipping certain grinds (like the Covenant faction reps, Avowed one etc).
This was spotted by dack-janiels and might push you to continue your reinforcement efforts, but if you haven't been doing it much it's going to take you a long while to catch up.

Here's an addon that lets you loot faster in WoW.
It's called Speedy AutoLoot, and it makes you loot all items as fast as possible. It hides the default loot window for a seamless gameplay experience. We tested the addon out, and the speed difference is really noticeable, especially in Torghast, where you need to constantly loot Phantasma from mobs.

You can type /sal in the game to toggle settings.
      Speedy AutoLoot Features
The addon works with TSM Destroy. A command allows you to enable auto-loot on all characters. You can set a sound that plays when your inventory is full with the /sal set (SoundID) command, so if you do /sal set (3738125), the addon will play the sound files associated with "BUTTONS". You can pick SoundID (3571677) for "Mrraaazz!". You can download Speedy AutoLoot on CurseForge.

Tired of seeing bots that you can't kill because you play with War Mode off? You can fool them by using toys!
Not all heroes wear capes! Change1378 came up with a clever method of fooling bots on live servers. The idea is to figure out what spot on the ground they click on and drop toys on these spots to make bots interact with them.
Hyper-Compressed Ocean works really well, according to the author, because it overrides most clicks. Other toys include infinite chests or any toy that makes you sit down like chairs.
      Card
Here's how it all looks in action.

Thekingofbeans42 followed the same method, and they were able to break the squad of farming bots.

In the PC Gamer interview, we learned that Shadowlands' first content patch would probably arrive spring, hinting at a possible reveal of Patch 9.1 at Blizzconline on February 19.
Blizzard pushed Patch 8.1 on Public Test Realms just 38 days after Battle for Azeroth went live, but Shadowlands has been live for more than that with no patch testing in sight.
Many players are now starting to wonder when Blizzard will release Patch 9.1 for testing and what comes with it.
PC Gamer talked to Game Director Ion Hazzikostas, and they predict Patch 9.1 is slated for Spring 2021. Ion didn't want to detail what awaits us in the first major content patch of the expansion.
Spring starts March 20 and ends June 21. So my wild guess is they will release Patch 9.1 for testing right after Blizzconline, and it will go live in 80 days or so after being pushed to test servers, meaning we're looking at a May 11 release date. It usually takes 80 days to fully test a patch before it is released on live servers.
