wow Pre-patch Event Current Issues and Complaints

While some of the pre-patch issues have been resolved, there are plenty more where that came from, and we'll be taking a look, as the EU event is set to go live soon.

First off we have a couple of Nathanos World Boss issues:

• The wrong loot spec rewards from Nathanos were supposed to be fixed, but players are still reporting getting incorrect rewards and so far it seems like Blizzard support isn't helping. Source.
• The no loot received if you die in the fight has been resolved in today's hotfixes, but maybe still be careful not to do so.
• The cutscene not playing if you were dead as Nathanos died has also been resolved.

Then it's on to the Icecrown rares, which don't have as many actual bugs or unintended interactions, but still have plenty of problems:

• Heavy lag on some servers is making it very hard for players to tag a rare in time after it spawns, as their HP goes down very quickly.
• The drop rate for epic gear is quite low (some say 10%), but the 34 slot bag seems to be a little higher.
• The main complaint players are having with the system is the 20-minute wait for each rare spawn, especially since that means the 1 rare that drops the bag everyone wants, Bronjahm, spawns once every 6 hours and 40 minutes.
• Not an issue, but nice to know generally - the Skadi rare also drops the Reins of the Blue Proto-Drake mount, same as its dungeon version.

The actual quests are also running into some issues, with few zombies being available to complete one of the daily quests, as the plague has been made opt-in.

Starting the event quests will lock you out of the old, regular Argent Tournament dailies from WotLK until Shadowlands, as well as lock out out of the old Icecrown zones (as some players like to mine there and similar). Zidormi or a simialr NPC is not present to swap you back to the old version. One potential solution would be to Party Sync with a lower level player.

I am on a heavy pop realm. Lag isn't really an issue. 1 tag and you got it.

 

34 slot bag....2 more slots.... no one is waiting 6 hours for that or cares- set spawns so download an addon.

i love how in wrath the event was just wild there was nothing special about drops etc apart from the momento the players made it fun.... now you have to opt in to get plagued by flagging for pvp the toy is already down to a few 100g on the ah and the broom is not even a toy. i was hoping for wrath 2.0 but hey maybe its a good thing we only have 2 weeks of this event now as im basically done with it on day one.

I got extremely lucky yesterday and knocked out 10 items plus the new white item that makes ghost follow you. Should the white item for 150k in a couple hours.
