Player Has 2 Covenants at Once, Including All 4 Abilities

Well this happened significantly faster than expected! Many players have been complaining about Covenant switching, even before Shadowlands went live, and there was plenty of speculation about how/if Blizzard would fix it. It turned out they stuck to their guns and kept the system restrictive for switching, and had quite a lot of fallout from the decision, as the switching part was very bugged at launch. Well, it seems it's still bugged now, but this time in an awesome way!

Angelicus07 was a victim/winner of a very specific Covenant swapping bug which happened after a crash, as he actually got to keep his old powers (both signature and class abilities) and gained the new ones - meaning he has all 4 from Necrolords and Venthyr!

Unfortunately for Angelicus07, he's not really having the fun you'd imagine, as the bug also broke his progression in his new Covenant:

Quote

Upon completion of the quest required to switch covenant (I am returning to Necrolord which I had previously abandoned therefore I had to do the 2 lockouts quest), it prompted me that I was indeed back into the Necrolord covenant. Game then suddenly crashed. Logged back in and in effect I still am Venthyr. I can roam in their sanctum and I can complete their quests but I additionally have access to both Necrolord abilities.

I did open a ticket this morning. 12 hours later and no response whatsoever. Really hoping this gets resolved soon. It straight up broke on me.
...
I’m not enjoying this at all ;/ I’m stuck in limbo, can’t progress my covenant.

It's actually a very interesting bug in general, as it might just be one of those random things, but it also might indicate potential plans for the future of the expansion. Could we actually be getting more than 1 Covenant later down the line? It would actually make a lot of sense lore and story-wise, as we'll need all we can get to defeat the Jailer, and inter-Covenant cooperation is a big part of the individual Covenant campaigns.

Now whether that is actually likely is tricky to say, as balancing even one set of abilities will be a challenge, let alone two. It certainly would be a very cool thing to do to ramp up player power later on in the expansion, similar to how we got Essences and Corrupted items in BfA, but in a more organic way.

At least with Mage Night Fae it feels natural except i have to stand much closer than I'd like to for certain fights

That's why I play Druid. Convoke the Spirits just does 12 spells in one cooldown for me. 😛

The new War Within Allied Races was added to the Alpha today and we already have a full look at not only all their customization options, but their dances as well, courtesy of MrGM! You can check out the Earthen's racial abilities here if you missed them earlier.
Let's start with the more dynamic feature, with both male and female dances:
And then there's big amount of customization options, as well as a size comparison with regular dwarves:

So, are we liking the new Allied Race overall? More than actual dwarves?

Here's a really cool possibility for the War Within, as a very subtle and mildly mysterious comment from Executive Producer and Vice President for WoW, Holly Longdale, may be hinting at our Warband characters getting a lot more involved in our travels!
First spotted by UlthansWrath, Longdale came up to Taliesin & Evitel at the recent London War Within Alpha press event and had a short chat about the Warband screen, when she casually said "wouldn't it be cool if those were the characters you took as your followers in your Follower Dungeons?" After the obvious confirmation from Taliesin and Evitel that, yes, yes it would be cool, she just said "hm" and that was the end of the conversation.
Obviously this isn't any sort of official confirmation, but considering this is a really awesome idea, it seems likely Blizzard are at the very least discussing it, if not already working on it.

The Warband system is already great, and this would add a lot to it for players that choose to go solo into dungeons, as it would give them even more motivation to get some great characters in their Warband - even if it was just a cosmetic option.
So, what do you think, will we be seeing this feature when the War Within launches?
