BfA Emissary Quests and Paragon Caches Will Be Heavily Nerfed Next Week

With the launch of Shadowlands, BfA emissary quests and Paragon chests still rewarded 2,000 and 4,000 gold, respectively, but Blizzard is heavily nerfing them with next week's reset in all regions.

In the latest round of hotfixes, Blizzard announced they are nerfing gold values of Battle for Azeroth Emissary quests and Paragon caches to 10% of their current value, meaning Emissary quests will reward 200 gold (down from 2K), and Paragon caches will be worth 400 gold.

Don't forget to complete the quests and complete your reputation for the caches before the gold values are nerfed.

Why even bother doing emissaries anymore? Why bother doing the tributes either? Since Shadowlands was released I mostly got grey items which were worth a small amount of gold. (Around 2k) but nothing usefull in it. I provide myself with flasks and enchants and such and therefore don't need a small fortune anyways, but god forbid players actually enjoying content in a videogame. Why not just "uninstall" all old content entirely when we cannot make use of it anymore anyways...

If they enjoy it they can still go do it. It just won't be financially rewarding as current content. Nerfing the gold rewards doesn't have anything to do with 'enjoyment' of the content.

Well of course it does. You enjoy a game which rewards you with stuff while it is also fun. You wouldn't bend a finger when the gain is too small, which now happened. The WORLD of Warcraft is only interesting in the respective zone which gives the most reward or increase in power. It becomes an even bigger world expansion by expansion but it feels more and more empty at the same time.

People crying over emissary gold loss when you can make 1600-2200 gold/day doing callings (current content) instead of 4k/week doing emissaries (waste of time) smh
It's not like the emissaries gave anything good i was doing these just for the reputation.

We've datamined a "Welcome to Azeroth" Bundle in the latest War Within Alpha build that comes with 90 days of game time, and possibly, other rewards.
The bundle UI is unfinished right now and we don't know what else will be included, but we know it's coming in 11.0 so either in the pre-patch or later when the expansion releases.

A very interesting feature has been datamined, as we seem to be getting a "story" difficulty for at least the first raid of the War Within! Nerub'ar Palace just received a new difficulty option in today's Alpha build, marked as being for 1 to 5 players!

Dataminer Marlamin added some further context after he did some more digging:
We're not quite sure what this could mean, as it's a very strange and very new addition. So far only Nerub'ar palace has received this difficulty option (and possibly just for the final boss), so perhaps the story of this particular raid is so important everyone needs to experience it. Alternatively this might be a permanent addition and all future raids might allow players to play through them, presumably/almost certainly minus any of the loot involved. This might also be related to the Follower Dungeon tech, or perhaps just a specific questline that sees us enter the actual raid.
We don't know anything for certain yet, so we'll have to wait and see, but it's certainly a very interesting development.

A new Hide Pants option has been added to Transmogrifiers in the latest War Within Alpha build.
Pants are the latest piece of armor that you can hide in the War Within. Visit any Transmogrifier and simply select Hidden Pants.

In the latest War Within Alpha build, Blizzard added two mounts that can be purchased from a vendor during the War Within pre-patch event.
      Remembered Gryphon (Alliance Mount)

      Remembered Wind Rider (Horde Mount)

A new War Within Alpha build has arrived and we have some new goodies to take a look at! The first raid of the next expansion is the Nerub'ar Palace, where we can find Queen Ansurek as the final boss. She actually has two mounts she drops, or rather one mount and one recolor.
First off there's the Sureki Skyrazor, the regular raid drop, from all difficulties:

And then there's the Mythic-only drop, the Ascendant Skyrazor:

Both mounts are based on the Nerubian Warbeast mobs and look pretty great if you ask us!
