New Mage One-Shot Record in Torghast: Arcane Blast Hits for 12 Million Damage

Recommended Posts

We've seen some crazy Mage videos where players one-shot Torghast bosses, but this one takes things to a whole new level.

The Runecloth Wrappings Runecloth Wrappings Anima Power allows Mages to deal 2,000% increased damage when they cast Arcane Blast, Fireball, and Frostbolt while invisible.

We covered a player with a 4.3 million non-crit a few days ago, but today, another player dealt three times as much damage!

Fr0nt1er dealt a whopping 12.09 million damage with their Arcane Blast, which is currently the highest we've seen so far, and the player is looking for others to join them in the quest for the biggest Arcane Blast hit!

As I have said before, the game seems to be devolving to World of Hackcraft.

What? This is specifically a mode designed for wild *filtered* like this. I just fought the last boss in torghast as a rogue immune to all damage for 1.5 minutes while able to explode for 20k damage non crit and my health vial had no cooldown. This is what makes Torghast fun the insane builds people can come up with.

In the end, this is a replacement for horrific visions/island expeditions ... it is of no consequence to be able to do this. Besides that, you are presented with a set of buffs, but this is a buff you can't use very often and that makes the rest of the run harder to complete. So you gotta choose between getting buffs for the boss or for the rest of the run.

We have more changes coming to Remix, as Blizzard reduce some mob HP and damage, adjust gems, fix some ability bugs and more!
      Mop Tuning (Source)
We’ve continued to deploy hotfixes to the game in response to feedback and data that we’re seeing. The following adjustments are now live, and are intended to address concerns about the balance of low- and high-level players in various Remix content:
      • The health of creatures in heroic scenarios has been decreased by 20% - 25%, based on the players’ levels. Higher level players will see enemies incur a larger decrease.
      • The health and damage of creatures on the Timeless Isle, Isle of Giants, and Isle of Thunder has been reduced.
      • Several spell gems (that were not down scaling up or down correctly based on player level) have been adjusted so that they provide a more-appropriate scaling effect. This includes Cold Front, Windweaver, Vampiric Aura, and Lightning Rod.
      • Spell gems with shielding effects should no longer cause threat.
      • Fixed a bug with Righteous Frenzy not canceling upon the end of combat.
      • Timerunner’s Vial mana regen significantly increased.
We’ll have all of the above, as well as other hotfixes to various issues, listed in our next hotfixes update.
Thanks again for all of your feedback!

Here's an early look at the Earthen Heritage Armor sets coming in the War Within.
Heritage of the Earthen requires players to earn level 50 on a newly created earthen character. Keep in mind the race is gated behind completing the max-level campaign and some side-quests in Khaz Algar. You will find more about that here.
MrGM has completed the entire questline on the PTR and has shared all 3 available tints on X.

It seems Blizzard are hunting down and nuking all the hyperspawns in Mists of Pandaria Remix! The goat farm in the Valley of the four Winds, which wasn't nearly as good as the original Timeless Isle Frog one that started it all, is now also gone.
The goats are no longer dropping threads nor items, just the Bronze event currency. Blizzard also recently nerfed the Horde Dalaran sewers farm (but left the Alliance equivalent alone, at least until now), so players are scouring Pandaria for any hyperspawns left! It seems it really is the land of exploration, just perhaps not in the way Blizzard intended.

We've datamined a "Welcome to Azeroth" Bundle in the latest War Within Alpha build that comes with 90 days of game time, and possibly, other rewards.
The bundle UI is unfinished right now and we don't know what else will be included, but we know it's coming in 11.0 so either in the pre-patch or later when the expansion releases.

A very interesting feature has been datamined, as we seem to be getting a "story" difficulty for at least the first raid of the War Within! Nerub'ar Palace just received a new difficulty option in today's Alpha build, marked as being for 1 to 5 players!

Dataminer Marlamin added some further context after he did some more digging:
We're not quite sure what this could mean, as it's a very strange and very new addition. So far only Nerub'ar palace has received this difficulty option (and possibly just for the final boss), so perhaps the story of this particular raid is so important everyone needs to experience it. Alternatively this might be a permanent addition and all future raids might allow players to play through them, presumably/almost certainly minus any of the loot involved. This might also be related to the Follower Dungeon tech, or perhaps just a specific questline that sees us enter the actual raid.
We don't know anything for certain yet, so we'll have to wait and see, but it's certainly a very interesting development.
