Ulduar Timewalking Is Problematic.. but at Least it Has Item Level 200 on Each Boss!

The first timewalking week has come to the Shadowlands and... it's not going great. From the completely bugged out item level scaling in dungeons and the vendor for a while and now the raid being pretty unevenly scaled, it's safe to say Blizzard didn't spend a lot of time testing this one. We have a few experiences from players to share here and also wanted to remind everyone that despite the not-quite-right tuning, each boss in the raid has a chance to drop Normal Castle Nathria aka item level 200 loot, with some pretty good trinkets as well, so it's well worth it.

The raid itself is very weirdly tuned, from some intense and hard to deal with encounters to walk-over stuff, with a few bugs thrown in for good measure, but let's let some people who have been there explain it:

Also, it seems the actual legendary from the Ulduar raid itself is actually not usable in it:

But after all that, Ulduar is still a whopping 13 boss raid (as it seems Algalon is not there this time around) aka 13 chances at ilevel 200 loot, so you'd better believe it's worth it, and it might be easier than Nathria Normal as well, but even if not it's still a lot more chances at loot this week, even with some unique trinkets and, obviously, transmogs as well!

Umm, Val'anyr should be usable in Ulduar TW. Keep in mind that 5 ilvls at that point is like, what, 2 int, 3 stamina, and mabye 2 secondary stats? Val'anyr is well worth the loss of those ilvls.

Timewalking is badly scaled in every way, even the dungeons are harder than a mid-range M+ in Shadowlands, especially Soul Forge. I didn't even take the courage to check Ulduar.. but after this I rather skip it

For clarity - the random AoE dmg that you get is from friendly fire. We spent nearly 1 hour dieing to it until we realised what it was and then we 1 shot it really easily.

The oil on the floor that you can set alight, if you touch it even for a second it just ticks you down for 20k a seconds till your vehicle dies.  Solution? Don't use the bike oil. This obviously was never a thing before but I guess they thought Hard Mode wasn't enough and wanted to turn Friendly Fire 1 Shot kills on too.

@Starym feel free to make a post about the oil friendly fire. Also you can use your Heart Of Azeroth and all your old azerite gear and legendary back. It made the bosses pretty faceroll and we did them all hard mode (besides yogg because cba explaining tactics)  We even killed Freya through her 150 stack heal.

Grimtusk Fishing Hole, one of the requirements to unlock Taivan, is available this week on live servers!
Players who are working on unlocking Good Boy's Leash probably know the Grimtusk Fishing Hole has not been available since the first week of Patch 10.2.6. However, it is available now for the whole week, so you can complete it to get credit towards Taking From Nature.

Head to the Fyrakk Assault area in Azure Span (59 34) and complete the Net Worth quest offered by Gruff Fisher.
If you can't see the quest chances are you don't have access to Ice Fishing.
I'm not really an avid fisher myself, but one player suggests you should have the Secret Fishing Spots  first before completing this quest, but those farming Taivan will possibly know.
Ice Fishing (available at Renown 6 with Iskaara Tuskarr) requires you to craft an Iskaaran Ice Axe. To do that, you must loot Pickaxe Blade at 19 24 in Azure Span. If you're using TomTom here are the exact coords where you'll find the item:
      /way #2024 19 24
Check the Wowhead comments section for more details.

Players on live servers are experiencing issues upgrading their legendary weapons to item level 502 after using the scale. Blizzard has acknowledged the bug and is actively working on a fix, though it may take some time to implement.

Just used my Scale to upgrade Fyr’alath for season 4 and I can’t upgrade it past 4/14 Awakened. The upgrade NPC believes it isn’t eligible.
We’re working on this as a priority issue. The fix is going to take some time to implement, however.
      Thank you for your patience.

Blizzard have clarified that the recent concern over addon limitations in Patch 10.2.7 is merely a bug and is being worked on.
      RP Addons (Source)
it’s looking like in 10.2.7 PTR the addon comms (something primarily used for addons like the insanely popular addon TRP3 used by Roleplayers) is going to be severely rate-limited server-side, making them effectively unusable. This is going to disproportionately affect the RP community and Blizzard should have communicated this much earlier in the development cycle.
The author of TRP3 has stated they have been looking for a solution but as of right now, there won’t be one come patch day which will kill the addon and many other addons as well. Blizzard, please roll back these changes!
We’ve identified the bug causing this issue on the PTR, and we’re actively investigating solutions to address it in a future build.

Blizzard is set to introduce modifications to addon communications in Patch 10.2.7 for World of Warcraft, with notable implications for role-playing (RP) addons.
Blizzard has now responded and confirmed the issue is a bug they're actively investigating.
The proposed adjustments will implement stricter server-side rate limiting on addon communications, essential for addons like Total RP 3 that support character role-playing and interactions, as highlighted by keyboardturn on Twitter.
Placeholder for tweet 1785049580230574093 The new rate-limiting measures are expected to slow down these addons, significantly increasing the time required to load profiles—from a few seconds to potentially minutes.
The update is designed to decrease server load and prevent misuse of addon communication systems. However, Blizzard has not provided explicit reasons for these changes, leading to speculation and concerns within the community regarding the lack of detailed communication and consideration for RP enthusiasts.

Khaz Algar hasn't been added to the world map yet, but Reddit user Santi433 has done us all a favor by showing what it would look like!
Positioned between Kalimdor and Pandaria, Khaz Algar is the new continent in War Within. Santi433 has extended the Azeroth map canvas to include this new continent.
