Recommended Posts

Bobby Kotick, Activision Blizzard's CEO, revealed during the Q4 2020 earnings call that Blizzard is currently developing multiple mobile free-to-play Warcraft experiences.

It appears Warcraft is going mobile soon. Apparently, Blizzard is developing multiple mobile F2P Warcraft games. What's more, Bobby said the titles are in advanced development.

The mobile games are supposed to allow both existing and new fans to experience the Warcraft universe in entirely new ways.

In our Warcraft franchise, we intend to deliver more frequent premium content to sustain and expand the World of Warcraft community, and we've made multiple mobile free-to-play Warcraft experiences, and they're now in advanced development, based on our franchise's beloved IP. This will create opportunities for both existing players and new fans to experience the Warcraft universe in entirely new ways.

Sure to be hated irrationally and certainly long overdue. I won't be looking for a WOW replacement, but an interlude on mobile throughout the day will be welcome when life takes me AFK.

"premium content" Warcraft 3 Reforged top premium, do you guys not have phones ?

They make more money from CoD Mobile then W3 SC and WoW combined ofc they will try and push that *filtered* on mobile so they make all the money.

And if they really where to make some good use of that money by improving WoW and other blizzard franchise instead of firing hundred of people they would be all right but no instead they rush and ruin PC games just because they can milk PC players so hard as they do mobile ones.

Look at Warcraft 3 Reforged they promised they will fix the game a few months ago they announce the entire team that was working on that was moved to other projects or fired so ye they only care about making money not quality games any more.

They should really go for it and port WoW to iPad-OS and Android Tablets nowadays. Dont really like the idea of „Idle Goblin Miner“, „Druid Run“ or „Dalaran Runes Crush“.

It's not a big deal on its own imo but for me it's more an issue of the mobile gaming paradigm leaking into retail WoW.

WoW just...

...isn't really WoW anymore. 😞

I mean I still like it but it's not the grand adventure that it first was.

It's another wild patch launch, with some very interesting and... specific bugs. Players have been reporting some of their equipped items items just randomly turning into level 1 statless ones, for seemingly no reason at all.
A few players first reported the issue a short while after patch launch, and we got a direct look at the rather big downgrade a little after that, as  shared this screenshot:
While not all affected players are sharing the exact details, some of them specify that this is happening on alts, and relatively low item level Dragonflight gear, so the issue may be limited to those items alone. It's also unclear whether this is just a display bug or an actual nerf to the stats, but apparently it's also affecting quest rewards!
There are also a few reports over on the official forums, but there aren't that many for now, so hopefully it's only affecting a few players. This seems like one of those issues that will be resolved pretty quickly, so there probably isn't too much reason for concern.
Perhaps this is all part of Xal'atath's schemes?

The 'Door to the Ren'dorei' quest on live servers is experiencing a bug where Alleria won't open a portal. Try abandoning the quest and reattempting for a fix. Additionally, there are tagging issues with 'The Path Taken' quest.
The Door to the Ren'dorei quest where Alleria opens a portal in the Chamber of Dalaran is currently bugged and Alleria doesn't do anything. If you see a lot of players stuck in the area, simply, abandon the quest, return to Alleria and pick it up again. Then, the portal should be visible and work.

We're also seeing a return to the classic Vanilla-style mechanics in the "The Path Taken" quest. For this one, you’ll need to either patiently wait your turn or quickly use all your abilities to tag the mobs. Only the player who tags the mobs first will receive credit, and you need to secure tags on three different groups of mobs. Therefore, try joining a group before attempting this portion of the quest.

Here's another cool thing coming with WoW's next expansion, as Solanya noticed a very interesting new toy!
The Cave Spelunker's Torch, which drops in Hallowfall, may not seem like a big deal, since we already have torches in the game, but those are actual weapons, which means you have to equip them, which then also means you have to re-equip your actual weapon(s) whenever you want to fight. This toy simply replaces the visual of your off-hand until combat starts. The other cool thing is that it's actually held as a torch, and not as a mace or other weapon!
Other than just looking cool, it had plenty of role playing uses as well, and it even sheds more light than normal torches!
