Blizzard Added a New House to Elwynn Forest in Patch 9.0.5

Recommended Posts

MrGM discovered that Blizzard added a new house in Elwynn Forest in Patch 9.0.5.

The zone is called Volo's Homestead, and we don't know if it's a tribute or part of an upcoming secret that we'll have to discover when the patch goes live.

The only "Volo" that we could find in the game is Volo Morin <Warspear Rogue Leader> who is located in Ashran since Warlords of Draenor.

Let's take a closer look at the images. Credit goes to MrGM.

Could it be a reference to Volothamp Geddarm, a character created by Jeff Grubb, who has also written quite a few Blizzard novels? He is a human male wizard, so Elwynn Forest seems quite fitting, really.

The reason for him to be added? No clue.

I was hoping it would be the start for the new center of those pesky duelers in Goldshire.     😁

Gear in MoP Remix works completely different from what we're used to. Find out how to get gear and upgrade it in our latest guide!
How to Obtain Gear in MoP Remix?
      You can obtain gear by:
Killing mobs, duneong and raid bosses. Opening Cache of Infinite Treasure received from quests. Opening treasure chests. Clearing dungeons, raids, and scenarios on any difficulty. Cloak of the Infinite Potential
You will receive the Cloak if Infinite Potential from the intro questline. More details on that here.
Where to Get Amulets, Rings, and Trinkets?
During MoP Remix, you won't come across any amulets, rings, and trinkets. All 3 are locked behind achievements that you must earn. Please note the achievements are character-specific, NOT account-wide.
Timerunner's Amulet — You will receive it upon completing all Pandaria raids on Normal Difficulty (Pandaria Raids). Timerunner's Ring is rewarded upon completing all scenarios on Heroic Difficulty (Heroic: Pandaria Scenarios). Timerunner's Seal is obtained by clearing all Pandaria dungeons on Heroic Difficulty from Heroic: Pandaria Dungeons. Timerunner's Beacon is awarded from completing any of the 3 achievements with a Timerunner (Escalation). Timerunner's Idol is obtained upon reaching Level 70 with a Timerunner (Timerunner). Gear Upgrading
Gear can have 36 ranks in MoP Remix and you need to spend Bronze to upgrade it. Some of the higher upgrade ranks, however, are gated behind character level and item level.

      Gems
Gear in MoP remix comes with a lot of sockets. There, you can insert gems that boost your character in various ways. We'll cover gems separately and will update the link here once the article has been published.

We have just one hotfix for retail today, with incorrect item levels showing when upgrading PvP items. Other than that there's plenty of Cataclysm Classic changes, from more class adjustments to Darkmoon Faire and Stratholme fixes and more!
      May 15 (Source)
      Items
Fixed an issue that caused Conquest and War Mode gear to incorrectly display PvP item level increases in the upgrade UI. Cataclysm Classic
Darkmoon Faire Island is now set to open on May 26 through June 1. The Stratholme Main Gate entrance should now place you in the correct location when queued through Random Dungeon Finder. Exhaustion, Sated, and Temporal Displacement will now be cleared from pets when they are cleared from their masters. Mage Fixed an issue where dispelled Ignite effects were increasing the damage done by future Ignites. Dispels from the Glyph of Polymorph and duels ending will also now clear the damage done. Rogue Fixed an issue with Deadly Momentum that caused its increased critical chance to be consumed by auto attacks that did not benefit from that increased chance. This is a true-to-reference 14-year-old bug, but was clearly unintended, so we fixed it. Shaman Fixed an issue with Healing Stream Totem where it was not benefitting from the Shaman Restoration Mastery ability Deep Healing. Warlock Fixed a problem with the values shown in the Warlock Molten Core talent. It will now correctly state that it reduces cast time by 10/20/30% at 1/2/3 talent points. Warrior Deep Wounds damage will now be reduced by effects that reduce damage taken by a percentage.
