One of the benefits of the Spell Critical stat is procing Clearcasting.  An argument could be made that more Spell Critical improves your mana efficiency and may be worth pursuing on Trinkets where you will likely have Spellpower or Spell Critical but not both.

Yeah Spell Crit is pretty good for Elemental Shamans, ideally you will always have it up when casting Chain Lightning for the huge mana save 🙂

The stat priority listing above and below do not match.  The basics "list" has a different order of priority than the "detailed" explanation.  Could use some clarification here.

The "detailed" explanation is not a priority list anymore, just an explanation of each stat. The short lists in https://www.icy-veins.com/tbc-classic/elemental-shaman-dps-pve-stat-priority and https://www.icy-veins.com/tbc-classic/elemental-shaman-level-58-boost-guide are what you should be looking for in a priority aka:

1. Spell Hit up to the 16% cap vs bosses, 3% in PvP;
2. Spell Damage;
3. Spell Critical Strike;
4. Spell Haste;
5. Intellect;
6. Stamina;
7. Spell Penetration;
8. Mp5;
9. Spirit.

Why no Cataclysism chest among the other useful items?  Wasn’t it generally regarded as bis in phase 2?
