Guest Gir Report post Posted July 6, 2021 Question, why not take improved rend or Iron Will as a 3 drop for talents instead of Improved Thunderclap? I'm finding that I do a lot of stance swapping (when between 0-10 rage) to get off a quick rend if I haven't been hitting crits. It adds on an additional 393.75 damage to the bleed, I have Despair equipped, and have found most of the time there's another warrior in the group thunderclapping away. In world stuff it works but in dungeons or raids where I find there's usually another warrior feels like a dead talent. Is there a reason for taking Improved Thunderclap over Improved Rend in these type of circumstances?

Is there a reason for taking Improved Thunderclap over Improved Rend in these type of circumstances? Rend is almost completely useless and never used. It's only real use if if you are about to leave melee range from a target to avoid a mechanic and want to keep the 4% physical damage debuff up. Improved thunderclap increases your versatility and allows you to debuff targets tanked by a non-warrior. you can help paladins/druids on the sides or use it in heroics etc. The utility far out-weighs the increased damage on an ability you should almost never be using.
