Execute has been buffed and Blizzard replaced Overwatch with a new PvP Talent on the 9.1 PTR.

    • This buff doesn't apply to Condemn Condemn.

PvP Talents

  • Overwatch Overwatch has been removed.

Say your AP is 1, then your Execute would be 295.8 damage instead of 268.8. So the buff percentage is calculated as such : (1 - 295.8/268.8), which equals to about 10%. This is not a 27% buff but a 10% buff ;)

He hasn't written "Execute's damage has been buffed by 27%". You both are right, it depends on interpretation :-). I don't know how exactly Execute's damage its calculated, so its more than possible the effective damage its lees than 10% more of its former version. But what Stan wrote is still true, it's has been buffed by additional 27% attackpower (from 268.8% to 295.8%).

That is the thing, Execute's damage has not been buffed by 27%. AP percentage have been buffed by 27 points which equals to a 10% buffed damages.

The post does say "Execute has been buffed by 27%" which is simply not true. A 27% buff would equal to 341.4 AP damages...

nobody but you talks about dmg. it's just the value of %AP that got increased by 27% from 268 to 295. you are doing too much brain gymnastics here.

I think was just a small mathematical negligence just posting the difference between 268.8 and 295.8 numbers, what is 27. I prefer your way anyway, showing how much the Execute was buffed effectively with no misinterpretation.

"false claims" lol. okok. execute dmg isn't buffed by 27%. although it never said anywhere in this post that execute DMG is buffed by 27%. Stan was clearly referring to the attack power value, which gets buffed from 268% to 295%, but you guys just have to complain about wording, for the sake of complaining.

As i mentioned, you're both right 🙂 . It really depends how you understand the wording. If you only read the title - yes it implies its a 27%dmg buff. If you read in context, then you understand its just an increase from 268.8% to 295.8%. You don't have to blame each other - just understand no one is really wrong. Stan solved it by correcting the title - what simply was the best solution 😄 .

The new War Within Allied Races was added to the Alpha today and we already have a full look at not only all their customization options, but their dances as well, courtesy of MrGM! You can check out the Earthen's racial abilities here if you missed them earlier.
Let's start with the more dynamic feature, with both male and female dances:
And then there's big amount of customization options, as well as a size comparison with regular dwarves:

So, are we liking the new Allied Race overall? More than actual dwarves?

Here's a really cool possibility for the War Within, as a very subtle and mildly mysterious comment from Executive Producer and Vice President for WoW, Holly Longdale, may be hinting at our Warband characters getting a lot more involved in our travels!
First spotted by UlthansWrath, Longdale came up to Taliesin & Evitel at the recent London War Within Alpha press event and had a short chat about the Warband screen, when she casually said "wouldn't it be cool if those were the characters you took as your followers in your Follower Dungeons?" After the obvious confirmation from Taliesin and Evitel that, yes, yes it would be cool, she just said "hm" and that was the end of the conversation.
Obviously this isn't any sort of official confirmation, but considering this is a really awesome idea, it seems likely Blizzard are at the very least discussing it, if not already working on it.

The Warband system is already great, and this would add a lot to it for players that choose to go solo into dungeons, as it would give them even more motivation to get some great characters in their Warband - even if it was just a cosmetic option.
So, what do you think, will we be seeing this feature when the War Within launches?
