Is there a way to possibly get a list of quests/noteable quests / dungeons to goto for better gear, cause the base gear isn't the best, and I feel so lost waiting for outland.

Hey Reneux, I would really recommend you check out the  Classic Prot Paladin Gear list, while it is aimed towards Classic it includes a lot of great alternative pieces that you can get. Really any level 50+ dungeon(Stratholme, Scholomance, Blackrock spire, Blackrock Depths Diremaul.)  should provide you with better loot than what you get when boosting because as you said the gear you get when boosting is not great. If you're okay with PvPing I'd definitely recommend also checking out the honor rewards as they no longer require you to have any PvP rank to purchase them.

Is there a reason you would suggest a prot pally stack str and not int. Seems and odd choice or an error.

Hey Vision! While leveling a tremendous amount of your damage comes from auto attacks and the seals you are using to deal damage benefit from the attack power you gain from strength, there is also a decent amount of added survivability added from the block rating you get from Strength as well! Intellect is important but while leveling up I would focus on strength as most fights you'll have while leveling are pretty short.
