Shards of Domination Nerfs Reverted

Recommended Posts

FoRstaJ.jpeg

Blizzard announced some nerfs for Shards of Domination set bonuses recently. They even made it live briefly, but have been reverted, as the devs didn't want to proceed with the change.

Further Shard adjustments will be made in the coming days, but they don't want to nerf them now that many players have obtained and upgraded them.

    • Earlier this week, a change to the power of Shards of Domination set bonuses (e.g. Chaos Bane) was briefly applied to the live game. We are no longer planning to proceed with that change at all. We may make further adjustments in the coming days, but we will not reduce the power of Shards now that many players have earned and upgraded them.

Isn't it better to nerf now though? Why wait until after people have gotten them? That's kinda shitty honestly.

The drop rate alone for the shards in the Raid are horrible.  No matter how many times you run the Raid on any difficulty you are never gurauntee a shard that you can use to drop per boss.

This is Blizzards way of extending the 'carrot' further to keep players running after a power upgrade for Raid alone.

Exactly this!

I've gotten a nice haste/vers helm with a socket but no shard to use; and currently my S1 mythic+ helm is better to use till I then get a shard.  I am going to try to pug myself in a SoD (N) sometime this weekend for a chance at a few more pieces of gear before attempting SoD(H).  I generally don't do LFR unless I'm short on time.

Only got one item with a slot for them so far and it doesn't feel very impactful. Maybe it's not as bad when you've collected more of them, but leech or absorb doesn't seem to do much.

We've already checked out the new 9.1.5 Druid travel forms, but now we're going to find out how to get them and take an even better look at them all as LestTV gives us a tour of all the new forms!
In short, the easiest way to get them is by just simply buying them from the Auction House, although that might up being expensive in the first weeks of the patch, so we also get to see where to get the Inscription recipes if you want to get them that way. You'll need various reputations for some of the recipes, just grind some mobs to have it drop for others, one is from the meat-craving merchant, and one even has you going back to Legion to get it!

We have some amazing fan creations to take a look at, as Simaia finished a big project focusing on ideas Paladin "class skins" for all races, including Allied ones as well! We have Night/Moodblades for Night Elves, Blood Knights, Silver Hands and Riftblades for Void Elves, Lightblades and Shadow Knights for Fosaken and a lot more!
Head on over to the full twitter thread to see them all in once place, or check out some highlights we picked below:

Some truly impressive work there, and if you want to see all 13 new Paladin race looks, head on to the main twitter thread here. Thanks a lot to Simaia and we hope Blizzard take into account just how much players want new class/race combinations, especially for Paladins!

After a long time waiting the final quest needed to complete the The Zovaal Shuffle achievement (for players that have been keeping up with it), the Ember Count, is now up on NA realms (and presumably on EU soon as well, once the Kyrian Assault opens later today).
The reason the Zovaal Shuffle is important and players have been waiting since the patch launched to complete it is that it's part of the On the Offensive meta achievement (which allows you to buy Covenant-specific mounts with Death's Advance), and it in turn is part of the Breaking the Chains meta - which brings with it the Hand of Salaranga mount! However, the mount reward itself is bugged at the moment, with multiple players reporting not having received it after completing the achievement.

If you're not sure what to do for the achievement, you need to find Gubbins, grab the Mawproof Parasol and then dance near 5 forges in Zovaal's Cauldron. You can find Gubbins in one of 4 locations: 40 41; 35 43; 32 42; 36 36 (as mentioned by MMO Champion).
