wow World of Warcraft 17th Anniversary Rewards

World of Warcraft's 17th-anniversary event starts November 15, so we're looking at the new rewards you can unlock.

We found two items in the game files associated with the Doomwalker in Tanaris. Doomwalker was formerly a Burning Crusade boss located in front of the Black Temple in Shadowmoon Valley, and we will see the boss return for the 17th-anniversary event.

Blizzard added a Doomwalker creature in Patch 9.0.1.

The first notable item from Doomwalker is Doomwalker Trophy Stand. The toy summons a trophy signifying your defeat of the Doomwalker.

The second item is the Illidari Doomhawk mount.

"Once a year, a rift in time appears, and strange things occur. The Illidari scouts and Doomwalker were quite surprised to find themselves in Tanaris."

You can also obtain a pair of Akama's Edge. The item's BoE so in the worst-case scenario, you can buy them off the Auction House.

Alts will appreciate the 17% boost to Experience and Reputation gains for the duration of the event, as indicated by the new Celebration Package.

In the Caverns of Time, there will be a vendor who sells various anniversary items, including a new pet -- Timeless Mechanical Dragonling for 200 Timewarped Badges (thanks @Tevani)!

"Dragons come in all types of temporal classification -- timeless, time-lost, and even infinite."

You will be able to buy gear for Marks of Honor and Timewarped Badges, and more.

I always appreciate a one-time event mounts, but holy shi't couldn't they pick a more plain a$$ model than this?

There is a Timeless Mechanical Dragonling in the Pet Journal inagme, since 9.1. Lets hope it will be obtainable too!

Isn’t there an anniversary event every year?….So Im thinking the brand new, super cool, detailed mounts that everyone wants would probably be released to us on the important anniversary years. So like 10th, 15th, 20th or 10th, 20th, 30th…etc. ..So 5 or 10 year marks and the yearly events in between are recolors, or simpler gifts for people. That way, the 5 or 10 year mark anniversaries would be an even bigger deal. If we were all given brand new super amazing mounts every year for their anniversary…then those mounts aren’t really that amazing…But every 5 or 10? That would make the mount or whatever big thing they do more special.

Why wait 5 years? They add them to the shop every other month.

But that’s not exactly the same. So the 5 or 10 year marks players get a super cool mount for free and once the event ends you can’t get it again. So it’s not like a shop mount you have to buy and most are in the shop for years. WoW’s 15th anniversary people got that cool Obsidian Worldbreaker mount (Deathwing) and the Lil’ Nefarian companion. Can’t get those in the WoW shop, and i still love those 2 from that anniversary. I think it’s because it was the 15th year mark and plus the other anniversaries weren’t great mounts or anything cool. If I remember right, last year’s 16th anniversary they didn’t do anything extra, no new mount or recolor. So blizz releases a one time cool mount & pet for free and only available for a month or two on their 5/10 years and then they also release new mounts that everyone can buy in the shop even if it’s 3 years later.

That's the kind of mounts that get added to the shop and cannot be earned through gameplay, which means they are unobtainable for me and many others like me who are unwilling to pay for them. In complete contrast to that we are getting a uninspired, bottom tier, garbage a$$ trash model because no special milestone has been reached. Anyway, let's just wait a few more years, no big deal.
