Patch 9.2 is the Grand Finale of Shadowlands

Recommended Posts

ymtNnwo.jpeg

The chances of a patch 9.3 are grim. In an interview with Game Rant, Steve Danuser confirmed patch 9.2 is "the grand finale" of Shadowlands. We're also heading back to Azeroth in the next expansion.

Although a small patch like 9.2.5 is likely, it doesn't look like Shadowlands will have another major content patch.

With the stakes this high, it is impossible not to sense the finality of the story. In the history of World of Warcraft, expansion packs have followed a release cycle that consists of three major content patches, which fill the two-year gaps between expansion packs. With “Eternity’s End,” however, it seems World of Warcraft is breaking that tradition. “We set out to plan the Shadowlands story as this drama in three acts,” Danuser said. “We have intended for "Eternity’s End" to be the culmination of that story.” While he clarified there may be more content to come, patch 9.2 is the grand finale of Shadowlands. A patch 9.3 could still be forthcoming, but Danuser's statements and the delays and cancellations both Blizzard and Shadowlands have suffered over the last year, suggest otherwise.

Game Rant

Steve Danuser confirmed we are heading back to Azeroth for the next expansion.

“Don’t assume it’s just going to be one thing. There’s storylines building up for the next great book in the Warcraft saga. Some of that groundwork is laid here, but there’s a lot more back on Azeroth we need to get back to, and delve into some storylines and characters there.”

This implies they have a lot planned in advance, although based on how Shadowlands story goes, it doesn't seem like it is that well planned. "A culmination of the story since Warcraft 3" they call it, but what they did was just to insert Zovaal into those events. They went very far with this cosmic stuff. Going back to Azeroth and doing some small scale stuff might feel a little bit weird now. And what is left there? Another continent or islands obscured by some magical mists, like Pandaria?

shadowlands is the worst expansion i have ever experienced and i have played WoD........so that is saying something.

It seems like they are running out of ideas to be honest.....this new expansion, the idea was cool, but the finished product is well......rubbish.

Hollow Earth, buddy! There's a whole world to explore under Azer-- *someone whispers Deepholm is already a thing* --wait, what? Oh nevermind...

Well, if it's a quality over quantity consideration I'm fine with it. I don't have high expectations towards 9.2, but with a good story they can still fix it. Besides - they always have a dozen troll/gnome/goblin/dragon/titan/faction war/etc. themed mini-raid ideas in their drawer that they could use as a Jolly-Joker filler raid in 9.2.5.

I don't understand what is happening. Like they're saying the "first ones" made everything including what's on Azeroth but I thought the Titans made azeroth. Like all of the prehistory of Azeroth is titan stuff. Heck even Azeroth is a titan egg.

Like what is even happening right now lol.

Word of the day: perspective. (At least that's Blizz' way to work with it.)

Everything learned up to this point came from Titan-related sources of information, which does not mean the knowledge presented is the factual truth. Any story can be twisted to a degree by the storyteller, and as it stands now, the Titans did that, claiming credit for the things they are not responsible for.

Well, Titans are beings born inside planets. They are the "world souls", although most planets do not posses these world souls. They didn't create the universe or any planets in it. Once they awakened, they went on to establish their order in the universe, also searching for more world souls. This was already a retcon, since before that "world soul" thing they were initially described as metallic giants, supposedly an advanced from some planet who similarly wanted to bring order to the universe. So First Ones were tackled on as those guys "above them", who existed before.

Titans never created stuff as much as they formed it. The Universe was already old before the first Titan was even born, wich makes only sense since Planets need to exist for a Titan Soul.

The story of BFA just made that the absolute worst for me. SL is bad, but BFA was an absolute dumpster fire. I hated Azerite Armor. Covenant Abilities and the Choreghast Leggos, aren't great, but I kinda enjoyed them.

The only thing I really liked about BFA was all of the Allied Races we got. Island Expeditions and Warfronts were basically DOA for me. I much preferred the old MoP 3 person scenarios. Never understood why they didn't continue making those.

Let's check out the unique and rare mounts available from the vendor in MoP Remix.
MoP Remix introduces 29 new mounts for your collection. However, there are some additional very rare mounts from raids and world bosses with a drop chance of around 1%. The best part is that you can buy them from vendors once you have enough Bronze. Just keep in mind that these items have a minimum level requirement and are quite expensive.
Reins of the Astral Cloud Serpent (1% drop from Elegon in Mogu'shan Vaults)

Reins of the Cobalt Primordial Direhorn (1% drop from world boss Oondasta)

Reins of the Slate Primordian Direhorn (Low chance to drop from the Zandalari Warbringer Rare Elite in Townlong Steppes)

Reins of the Amber Primordial Direhorn (Zandalari Warbringer)

Reins of the Jade Primordial Direhorn (Zandalari Warbringer)

Spawn of Horridon (1% drop from Horridon in Throne of Thunder)

Reins of the Heavenly Onyx Cloud Serpent (1% drop chance from Sha of Anger)

Reins of the Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent (World Boss Nalak)

Reins of the Thundering Onyx Cloud Serpent (World Boss Huolon)

Reins of the Thundering Ruby Cloud Serpent (Alani)

Son of Galleon (World Boss Galleon)

      Kor'kron Juggernaut (Mythic Garrosh)

Clutch of Ji-Kun (Ji-Kun in Throne of Thunder)

For more details, head to our MoP Remix rewards guide!

The limited time Remix event just got a lot less deadly, as Blizzard fix another bug. Certain high level boss abilities were doing double damage, but a hotfix has cleared that all up!
      Remix (Source)
With a hotfix that we applied a few minutes ago, we’ve fixed a bug that was causing some high-level boss abilities to unintentionally do double damage to players.
For players who have been inside an instance since before the hotfix went out, there will be no change until you leave and start a new instance.
Thank you for your reports and feedback!

Players without the Dragonflight expansion have been having trouble after reaching level 60in the MoP Remix event. Their characters would become locked, as levels 60 and up were part of the Dragonflight expansion, so there was quite a bit of confusion since the event wasn't supposed to require the latest expansion.
Luckily Blizzard have now clarified that this was a bug, and have since resolved it!

We believe that this issue has been fixed with an update that we deployed with realm restarts earlier this morning.

Our latest mount preview from the War Within Alpha covers Shadow Elementals. KSM mounts, anyone?
Blizzard hasn't officially confirmed any KSM mounts for War Within yet, but we've already seen two tints for the upcoming Gladiator mounts. It wouldn't surprise us if these turn out to be War Within Keystone Master mounts for the upcoming seasons. So far, we have three tints: black, gold, and purple.
      Black

      Gold

      Purple
