Flasks will be replaced with phials in Dragonflight. Phials offer various effects that we cover in our latest Alpha preview.

Instead of generic stat-increasing flasks, Blizzard went for something more exciting in Dragonflight. The new Alchemy creations are called phials and come with a variety of effects. Phials last for 30 min and persist through death. Phials with the Toxic tag provide a kiss/curse effect. Consuming a second adds another 30 min.

Here's a datamined list of the phials found in the first Dragonflight Alpha build.

So more situational effects, sort of like tier bonus or shards of domination. Anyhow, alchemy (along with enchanting) will likely remain as the most useful and profitable profession. Only other way would be for other professions to offer same effects that don't stack (for example, scroll from inscription that grants these effects), but then they would become all the same.

Just another example of Blizz sleemingly proving they can't balance anything whether it be classes, specs or professions.  Remember when they also always use to talk about how needing to buy all sorts of consumables was "bad" and they didn't want players to be forced like feeling they had to do it?

Waiting with baited breath for the inevitable "inscription gets rep scrolls that requires the user to be revered, lower level staffs to craft and a few more cosmetic effects.     And the vantus runes which keep getting weaker stats wise for some reason."

Maybe I'm wrong, but sometimes it feels like:

"If it ain't broke don't fix it."

Blizzard: "WE ARE RE-WORKING FROM THE GROUND-UP!"

Struggling in delves? The new Determination buff has got your back in the War Within.
If you’ve ever done LFR, you’re probably familiar with the Determination buff. When your raid wipes, your damage, healing, and health get a boost. Now, this same mechanic is coming to delves, which is surprising given that delves can be tackled solo or in a group.
Delver's Determination is a buff you receive when you die too much in delves. It increases your damage, healing, and health by 5%, stacking. Every delve ends with a boss fight. If you’re finding the final boss too challenging, don’t worry. You’ll gain a stack of Delver's Determination every time the boss defeats you, giving you a better chance to succeed on your next try.
