How to Leave Exile's Reach as a Level 1 Character (No Longer Works)

Recommended Posts

A Level 1 Pandaren spotted in Orgrimmar sparked an interesting debate on Reddit and it turns out you can leave Exile's Reach at Level 1 and here's how.

UPDATE: You can no longer leave Exile's Reach as of Patch 10.1.5. This method has been fixed.

Reddit user DeliciousBacon1274 spotted a Level 1 Pandaren in Orgrimmar and many started wondering how is it even possible to leave Exile's Reach or the Wandering Isle so early?

There's a level 1 Pandaren in Orgrimmar. Is it possible for Pandaren less than level 10 to leave the starting zone early?

When you create a Level 1 character, choose Exile's Reach as your starting zone, and log in to the game, there's a specific macro you can use to leave the zone.

/run C_Tutorial.AbandonTutorialArea()

After running the macro, you will receive a quest that will automatically teleport you to your faction city (Stormwind or Orgrimmar), as MidnightFireHuntress explains.

Gut feeling this will have you banned. It's not like you can move around to other areas based on console commands. It's the equivalent of teleporting, plain and simple.

Just because it's there for us to use doesn't mean we should unfortunately.

No, it is Blizzard's fault for allowing it to be used in the first place....they should have it as an admin command, not a generic one, unless they forgot to set it to admin only, then it is on the Devs, not the users.

Now if it was an exploit that the devs said, don't use it, then sure, ban the ones that use it....otherwise its on the Devs.

This argument doesn't hold water considering they have banned people for stacking XP potions and other general oversights. They're intentionally vague on what is considered exploiting and this is exploiting by their viewfinder, maybe not our but there's for sure.

At that rate nobody should’ve been banned for going to GM Island, they didn’t use commands or anything like that, they simply walked there. I’d almost guarantee that they’re gonna be banning people for this lmao.

Try using your brain bro. They ban people for exploits that give you an advantage. Being level 1 in orgrimmar 💀💀

Uncommon Patron

I suspect it triggers the same underlying mechanic as "you've been logged out a long, long time, would you like to go to your capitol city?"

I wonder how the Pandaren got to Org.  Don't you choose your faction after the starting area questline, or did they change that?

Not always.

What happens when you make a Pandaren nowadays:

1. You pick a Faction on your character creating screen. It's mandatory for everyone. Let's say Horde. FOR THE HORDE!

2. You are then asked if you want to level in The Wandering Isle- The command doesn't work here. You are Neutral until you finish the questline here. You can even pick up Alliance at the end of the zone.

3. You are asked if you want to level on Exile's Reach instead- The command works. If you use it you end up in Orgrimmar as a level 1 Pandaren.

Thanks, I've updated the OP to make it clear the method no longer works.

In Battle for Azeroth, players were given the choice to side with Sylvanas, but the latest Dragonflight questline involving Odyn lacks any choice leaving Warrior players unhappy.
Back in Battle for Azeroth, Horde players could either side with Sylvanas or against her during the story. Patch 10.2 introduces a similar questline that revolves around Odyn and Vyranoth. If you didn't play through it, I won't go into any spoilers, but Warrior players were not particularly happy with how the questline was executed, as they could not side with Odyn.
As a testament to that, we have the following Reddit thread with over 1.9K upvotes by Reddit user Maleficent-Way-2046 who says "I am a Warrior and have the Battlelord title, I carry Warswords of the Valarjar, why would I side against Odyn?" Well, that's a good question!
Instead, Blizzard could have given Warriors a choice to side with Odyn and some special interactions based on their choice. What do you think?

We have some Fyrakk issues getting resolved, Mythic+ a lot of item tweaks and PvP class changes in today's batch of hotfixes.
      December 1 (Source)
      Dungeons and Raids
Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope Fyrakk Resolved an issue causing Fyrakk to become unlootable if killed during Shadowflame Devastation in Stage Two. Resolved an issue causing Fyrakk's energy bar to increase too quickly in Stage Three on Mythic difficulty. Dawn of the Infinite: Galakrond's Fall Iridikron Timeline Transcendence's 100% damage increase now also increases the damage of an affected player's pets and summons even if they are not within Chromie's bubble. Timeline Transcendence no longer applies onto pets or summons. The Everbloom Ancient Protectors The visual effect for Dhulu's Noxious Discharge have been updated. Waycrest Manor Addressed an issue where Soulbound Goliath's Soul Thorns ability will fail on shapeshifted players.
      Items
Augury of the Primal Flame proc rate increased by 50% and damage decreased by 33%. Developers’ note: While this change should not impact the trinket's expected performance, we hope that a more consistent proc rate will reduce its overall variance. Vaskarn, the dracthyr vendor in the Emerald Dream's Central Encampment, will now display her crest trade-up items to anyone who has earned the right to purchase them, even if they cannot currently purchase them because they are too close to the cap on the higher-level crest.
      Player versus Player
Removed rank text from all Rated PvP gear, including PvP Class Sets. Developers' note: This change does not effect item levels or upgrade tracks. Mage Arcane Fixed an issue that caused the Amirdrassil 4-set bonus to not be reduced in PvP combat. Frost Fixed an issue that caused Frost Bomb 's explosion to be prevented by Grounding Totem.
