Zenless Zone Zero 2.0 beta leaks reveal major changes to Rage mechanics and Rupture damage scaling, including ATK-to-Sheer Force conversion. Here's what you need to know!
As Zenless Zone Zero prepares for its major 2.0 update, recent beta leaks have revealed important changes to some of the game's upcoming mechanics. According to those leaks, adjustments have been made to the Rage Meter system and Rupture damage scaling, especially involving the conversion from ATK to Sheer Force.
As we know, 2.0 adds new mechanics to Agents, such as the Rage Meter. The latest adjustments show that the Rage related mechanics have all been renamed to Adrenaline.
If you want to compare Adrenaline to the Energy Regen equivalents:
Automatic Adrenaline Accumulation is equal to Energy Regeneration Adrenaline Generation Rate is equal to Energy Generation Rate Max Adrenaline is equivalent to the Energy Limit The Base Auto Adrenaline Accumulation of Rupture Agents is still 2 per second, with a Max Adrenaline at 120.
The Adrenaline system raises some concerns among players, sharing thought such as:
"Yeah Rupture kinda feels a bit like "We can't be bothered to design around existing strong mechanics so we're just gonna design new mechanics that completely invalidate the
Nicole DEF shred too strong? Rupture completely ignores DEF so that's useless now.
Support ATK buffs too good? (aka Astra) Rupture only gets 30% buff efficiency from ATK buffs.
Support ults give energy? Can't be having that, let's just make an "energy but actually not bar"
Of course, those are just leaks from the 2.0 beta, so anything can still change regarding the Adrenaline system. For the time being, it does quite look like another similar Energy system designed to not synergize with the previous support units.
You can take a look at the original leak here:
The second major leak focuses on the Rupture mechanic and how it ties into a new damage type conversion introduced in the 2.0 beta.
Here's the key detail:
Up until now, Rupture Agents would turn 25% of their ATK into Sheer Force. This ATK to Sheer Force Conversion Rate has now been increased to 30% for all upcoming Rupture Agents.
So for the few examples:
Astra's 1200 ATK buff results in 360 Sheer Force Soukaku and Caesar's 1000 ATK buff equals 300 Sheer Force Lucy's 600 ATK buff gives you instead 180 Sheer Force Additionally, upcoming Agent Pan Yinhu's M0 540 Sheer Force buff is equivalent to an 1800 ATK buff, and his M6 720 Sheer Force buff is equal to a 2400 ATK buff!

Heads-up: The latest Zenless Zone Zero event requires actions that take several hours to complete, so starting late could mean missing out on key rewards!
Zenless Zone Zero's latest event, A Tale Through the Looking Glass, is live since May 19th. While you are usually able to start and complete events the last day, there's a catch: if you don't start this one early, you might not be able to finish it in time.
A Tale Through the Looking Glass is a limited-time event that blends story segments with time-gated actions. Certain tasks require real-time waiting periods (several hours) to complete before you can proceed. If you start the event too close to the deadline, you risk running out of time and missing out on key rewards.
The event is running until June 5th, 2025, so you still have some time, but we highly recommend you do not start too late.
For more information around the event, how to participate, and how to complete each stage, you can head to our A Tale Through the Looking Glass Event Guide!

A Mecha Bangboo appears in Zenless Zone Zero! What does it mean, and could it hint at an upcoming unique character? Here's what you need to know!
A recent leak has revealed a video showcasing Mecha Bangboo in Zenless Zone Zero. The footage, shared by Flying Flame, hints at a potential event in the upcoming Version 2.0 update. You can take a look at the original video here:
Notably, the video features a giant Bangboo robot fighting enemies. This is leading to speculation about the introduction of a new character named Seed.
Seed was previously spotted in the Season 2 trailer, where the character's imposing presence caught the attention of many players. If you need a refresher, here is Seed:
The recent leak suggests that the Mecha Bangboo event could serve as a preview to Seed's official start. It would not be the first time that HoYoverse uses an event to test out new mechanics for an upcoming system or character! So this could essentially be a preview of Seed's gameplay!
Players are also debating on whether Seed is a sentient robot or piloted by an individual. Some in-game dialogues and past events have referred to Seed using feminine pronouns, adding to the intrigue surrounding the character's identity. We also know they're part of the Obol Squad.
More information about the Mecha Bangboo event will most likely be revealed on Friday during the Special Program for 2.0.
