Cataclysm Classic Feral Druid Tank Rotation and Cooldowns

If you have not already, we recommend going through the Spell Summary guide first. Knowing how each spell and ability works in detail will greatly increase your understanding of the rotation suggestions below.

Make sure to keep yourself buffed with Mark of the Wild and debuff enemies with Faerie Fire (Feral) when pulling.

1. Consume stacks of Lacerate with Pulverize whenever its buff is close to dropping;
2. Cast Lacerate if there are no stacks on boss, to enable free Mangle procs from Berserk's passive effect;
3. Use Mangle when available;
4. Cast Thrash;
5. Cast Faerie Fire (Feral);
6. Cast Lacerate up to 3 stacks;
7. Use Maul with any excess Rage.

Your rotation remains mostly the same, but you will want to drop single-target attacks to focus more of your limited Rage on area attacks.

1. Cast Thrash;
2. Cast Swipe;
3. Use Maul with any excess Rage.

Use your defensive cooldowns Barkskin, Frenzied Regeneration, and Survival Instincts whenever you drop low or are facing heavy damage. Most of the time it will be enough to use a single one of these, but for extra dangerous situations, you will want to use multiple of them at once.

Use your offensive cooldown, Berserk, to establish solid threat on pull and / or while heavily buffed by Vengeance.

Remember to use your utility abilities as well:

• Rebirth to combat ress anyone who dies;
• Innervate to help allies recover Mana during DPS downtime;
• Stampeding Roar to increase movement speed during heavy movement mechanics;
• Skull Bash to help interrupt critical casts if no one else can do it.
