Three Blizzard Titles In Twitch's Top 10

Recommended Posts

Streaming platform Twitch released a list today of the top 20 games being enjoyed by viewers, sorted by total minutes of gameplay watched, for January 2015. Blizzard retains three of the top 10 spots, and is edging close to having four games on this list...

The full post and directory links can be found over on the Twitch blog, but the highlight for Blizzard fans is the rankings for the various titles we enjoy:

4. Hearthstone: Heroes of Warcraft

6. World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor

8. Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm

Waiting to sneak into the top 20...

21. Heroes of the Storm

With the impressive number of individual streamers providing round-the-clock Hearthstone and Warcraft entertainment, and the immense number of professional Starcraft tournaments out there, these numbers don't come as a huge shock. Most of the top 10 games have either a large following for tutorial or play-by-play content, or are broadly enjoyed as competitive eSports.

Sadly, Diablo is nowhere to be found, although it may see a resurgence as the competitive ladder's second season begins.

And with the upcoming fps, "Overwatch", it's definitely going to be 5 in the top 10.

I'm starting to think that I have to restrict my gaming to only Blizzard's games.

Blizzard games like World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, and Overwatch 2 might soon make a comeback in China, thanks to Blizzard reportedly teaming up again with NetEase.

After 14 years of partnership, Blizzard and NetEase hit a rough patch in 2022, leading to failed negotiations. Consequently, when the licensing agreement concluded on January 23, 2023, Blizzard's game services were suspended across mainland China.
