It's been over ten months since the last significant update for Raynor, so hopefully it shouldn't take more than another year from now, though that might be too optimistic.

On a bit more serious note, Raynor has been out of meta for a very long time, and as a result, his talent choices haven't changed at all. If you look at hotslogs (although they are not that reliable), you can see that the talents that are picked the most are the same as the ones recommended or placed as situational in the guide. What this means is that the most important parts of the guide, the talent page and the build, don't need an update, or at least not a significant one. Therefore, updating the guide would be only a cosmetic upgrade.

Loving the new Jimmy. 

My preferred build thus far is Veteran MarksmanVeteran Marksman , Fight or FlightFight or Flight and Fuel The RushFuel The Rush (loving this talent name and love talents that feature ability synergy in general) with banshee as Heroic. I know, everyone's praising Giddy-UpGiddy-Up and it will probably have dithyrambs written about it in the updated guide but imho Rallying CryRallying Cry is also a very good choice. Didn't have the chance to go to level 16 yet teehee (sweet looking at Bounty HunterBounty Hunter and Give Me More!Give Me More! ).

Ofc, if team comp is appropriate, Ace In The HoleAce In The Hole build will deal GIGATONS of damage. I strongly believe he's gonna be played in HGC too (tho I fear he'll be picked cause he's essentially a better pve Lunara with ExterminatorExterminator).

Lvl 1 if you are with auriel, you can ez stack one lanes vs 3 ppl, you have so much powerpoke and lvl 10 Helicoptere can give you vision, and bait attack on the ppl, it's a free little hero !and i dont give exp ! But if you tp base, the helicoptere try to follow you on the base, no tp with you !

Have been playing Jimmy non-stop after the rework. He's very strong in terms of damage output. I usually use these 2 builds:

1. Team fight slow Build: utilize Ace In The Hole, arguably his best talent.

Lv 1: Ace In The Hole - key talent

Lv 4: Fight or Flight if I have a sustain healer, or Sustaining Rounds if not.

Lv 7: Unstable Compound - this is what makes Ace In The Hole so reliable: having a slow in your basic attack significantly increase the uptime of AITH.

Lv 10: Raynor's Raider - I think this is the overall better heroic now. It increases his overall DPS, which makes him better at ... everything tbh. You can also scout (it grants vision like Medivh's Raven Form), block skillshots, and secure kills with it. It's much more versatile than Hyperion.

Lv 13: Debilitating Rounds - More Q = more slows = more AITH uptime; it also synergise really well with te Lv 16 talent.

Lv 16: Paint Them Red - this talent is insane. The self heal is incredibly strong: hitting 2 heroes can get you back to full when you're low. The damage increase also improves your waveclear. 

Lv 20: Execute - increase his overall DPS, kill potential and sieging. This talent is exceptionally good when you're pushing keeps or even core. Dusk Wings is also quite good in terms of utility. 

 

2. AFK Split Push build: good on macro-heavy maps like Garden of Terror and Warhead Junction. Use it with cautions though, as your teammates will likely mad-ping you through out the game.

Lv 1: Exterminator - this talent significantly improve his waveclear and merc clear. With this, you can clear waves and take camps in a split second. He's a really good pusher since Inspire increases minions' and mercenaries' damage as well.

Lv 4: Sustaining Rounds - you need the sustain for split-pushing.

Lv 7: Fuel the Rush - makes Adrenaline Rush available more frequently, which helps you to survive ganks. 

Lv 10: Usually Raiders, but Hyperion is quite good at sieging due to its high structure damage. Both of them is fine.

Lv 13: Giddy-up - allows you to rotate faster, which is quite valuable for a split-pusher. 

Lv 16: Paint Them Red - I think this is just the best talent at this tier. The self heal is just too good, especially against ganks. 

Lv 20: Execute - increase your overall damage. 

Note: you can still dish out a decent amount of damage with this build, so don't be afraid to join team fight if needed.

 

Talents that I don't use:

Lv 1: Veteran Marksman feels outclassed by Ace In The Hole currently. It comes online much later than AITH, and it only increases your trait bonus damage, while AITH increases ALL damage. 

Lv 4: Behemoth Armor feels very underwhelming. The health increase is very minimal, and thus barely noticeable. 

Lv 7: Heavy Slugs has very little practical use. 

Lv 13: Rallying Cry is not a bad talent per se. I usually pick it on BoE to increase my race potential with Exterminator. 

Lv 16: Bounty Hunter is only good in a trait-centric build, which currently feels outclassed by AITH build. Give Me More doesn't offer as much as the alternatives. 

Lv 20: The Hyperion upgrade is really, really good, but still not good enough to justify picking Hyperion over Raiders. Weak Point Acquired is, again, only good in a trait-centric build. 

This is my insights on the new Jimmy. I'll keep fill'em full of daylight with these builds while waiting for @KendricSwissh's update.

Ace In The HoleAce In The Hole is definitely a good level 1 pick, but on some maps you'll want ExterminatorExterminator, especially Battlefield of Eternity, Infernal Shrines, or Braxis Holdout, where 50% extra damage versus monsters is just too good to pass up.

Give Me More!Give Me More! is good if you are relatively safe from enemy dives, as that +1 range is pretty strong. I'd also consider its extra healing more reliable than Paint Them RedPaint Them Red since you don't get any extra healing if you miss. Don't take Paint Them RedPaint Them Red if up against someone like Zeratul, Illidan, or Tracer, or you're gonna end up missing them pretty frequently and dying because of it.

Finally, I still feel HyperionHyperion is very good, even if the Banshees are much stronger now. Still great on maps like Volskaya because of the panic reaction it can cause.

so I looked though this really quick and I can say right off the bat, picking telling people to pick ace in the hole is like telling people to nerf themselfs, picking it gives 30% damage on STUNED enemies...only 30% and only on stunned witch for raynor isn't that useful, veteran marksman however does start small but it is a damage boost any way you look at it, after 5 minutes of using this talent you will have that 30% damage but it will be on any target you shoot, spending 10 minutes or more with this and you will be at 50% extra auto attack damage, the next picks, behemoth armor and fight or flight (yeah right) are both useless for hit kit, while extra health and healing is nice, raynor is made to keep distance and push back attackers, sustaining rounds is will give you THE most healing out of all 3, hence will have the highest HP value (it will also help you go toe to toe with the biggest strongest tanks and not flinch) next unstable compounds and banshees are the right picks but guddy up is kind of pointless unless you suck with raynor and die alot, you want that 1 extra second of extra attack speed, your next pick is ALWAYS bounty hunter, it adds the most damage and lastly both execute AND dusk wing are good picks, pick execute if your banshee keeps getting shot down and maybe dusk wing if they ignore it and it does deal a solid amount of damage but I do think execute will deal more damage overall if you were a good player and picked veteran marksman at the start of the game, by the time you hit level 20 your damage bonus from it should be 65-70%+, your build should look like this:   https://www.icy-veins.com/heroes/talent-calculator/raynor#35.0!1222234

This is just me, but I'd put ExterminatorExterminator as "Situational" instead of "Not Recommended", because it can have some awesome value on Battlefield of Eternity. 50-100% increased damage against the Immortals is very strong, letting you kill the objective much faster. It can also be of some use on Braxis Holdout to kill the Zerg waves more easily.

I thought that too, but his other two options are way too powerful.

The changelog said the guide was updated on 26 July, but I can't see any changes. Even the guide says 'last updated at 13 July'. What's the problem here?

Funny fact about Veteran MarksmanVeteran Marksman, it's not labeled as "infinite quest", so if you take it in try mode and click on <complete quests" it'll get 90k stacks, wich is quite FUN for a while, dealing 14-18k dmg to Arthas

Yeah, Veteran Marksman is only good for one-shotting everything on Try Mode.

      Players will now receive an announcement when a quest milestone is reached. This will only announce to the player who achieved the milestone. Ranges of abilities on numerous Heroes have been updated to be more consistent. This may cause certain abilities ranges to reduce or increase.       Map Updates
      General A new Fallback Tower has been added to the longer lanes on each of the following battleground maps. This new tower will die when its corresponding Fort dies: Alterac Pass, Battlefield of Eternity, Blackheart's Bay, Braxis Holdout, Cursed Hollow, Dragon Shire, Garden of Terror, Hanamura Temple, Infernal Shrines, Sky Temple, Tomb of the Spider Queen, Volskaya Foundry, and Warhead Junction. Attacks from the Core, Keeps, Forts, Fallback Towers, and Towers near Keeps will now reduce Hero armor, and the reduction has been increased from -10/-20 Armor to -20/-40 Armor. Fallback Towers have the same HP and Attack Damage as Keep Towers. Forts, Keeps, and the Core will no longer grant Allied Heroes that take damage in their radius 35 Armor for 4 seconds. The comeback system has been slightly magnified, particularly at wide level gaps. Alterac Pass Objective capture timer reduced by 5 seconds in each phase. The first phase only spawns a single defending unit. Cavalry now gain more health in the later stages of the game. Cavalry now take 60% damage from structures (up from 50%). Braxis Holdout Early objectives have lowered in health by 15%, but scaling has been increased significantly after 15 minutes. Garden of Terror Garden Terror health scaling increased. Garden Terror structure disabling plant bulb now damages itself at 10% per second (up from 6%). Infernal Shrines Early objectives have lowered in health by 15%, but scaling has been increased significantly after 15 minutes. Warhead Junction Nuke damage has been changed to flat, scaling damage. Scaling is updated when a Warhead is picked up. Nukes now deal double damage versus Forts, Keeps, and the Core. Return to Top

      Level 1 Dishonorable Discharge REWORK: No longer reduces CD. Bonuses are now provided at 20/45/75 hits. At 20 hits, gain 30% damage. At 45 hits, gain an additional 75% damage and reduce the cooldown by 2 seconds. Pinnacle Reward: At 75 hits, Lightning Rod provides 2 additional strikes and Stuns for 1.25s on its last strike. Frequent Flyer REWORK: Reduced attack speed bonus from 40% to 25%. Now provides 1 stack per minion and 5 stacks per Hero. At 50 stacks, gain 20 Attack Damage. At 125 stacks, gain an additional 50 Attack Damage. Pinnacle Reward: At 300 stacks, gain an additional 125 Attack Damage. Gathering Storm REWORK: Bonuses are now provided at 30/80/150 stacks, rather than incremental gains. At 30 stacks, gain 30% damage. At 80 stacks, gain an additional 50% damage. When clicking near or on a target, it will attach to that target, but if no targets are nearby, Overkill will start firing in that direction. If Overkill hits a target while firing in a direction, that target will become Overkill's primary target. If Overkill is active when there are no possible targets, Overkill will no longer be cancelled, and instead will start firing in the direction of the last primary target. Fixed an issue that caused mounting to not interrupt Overkill. Valla Base Hatred [D] Fixed Hatred Tooltip. Level 20 Storm of Vengeance Fixed an issue that caused Storm of Vengeance to not grant 2% Attack Speed per Hatred stack. Zagara Level 1 Infest Fixed Infest active current bonus tooltip.
