nice guide, unfortunately, for the guide because is fairly new and the new talents will come out very soon,

 

I hope with those Stitches gets back to the game, he got hit pretty hard with the "balance hammer"

Just to note, the one really good use for Shish-kabob is if you run into Sgt Hammer (who stitches is a good counter to).    If her team's any good they'll try to protect her from hooks later in the game as they slowly advance, this talent allows you to hook through them and get the hammer for gorge or team blow-up.

This is a great point! Talents that are widely considered to be "bad" can be good in specific encounters. smile.png

Holy crap, the Slam Build hits HARD AS FUCK. I was in a match yesterday (as a squishy support, as usual), and there was an enemy Stitches with this build that was second in Hero Damage. And indeed, he'd kill me alone at any given chance.

Stitches has naturally high damage for a tank. By default, he should deal 3rd or 2nd highest damage even if he goes for full tank build. In fact, his full tank build usually has a higher damage output due to his high survivability to spam his bile and trait over everyone. The slam build on the other hand is incredibly useful if Stitches is fed heals and is able to hit multiple heroes. If that is the case, then Slam stitches deals more damage. In my opinion, Slam Stitches is not recommended when drafting for a tank, since it makes Stitches a bruiser/off-tank.

In the Talent guide, Flea Bag's description doesn't match the tooltip for Flea Bag, the description says 3 seconds reduction and the tooltip says 6 seconds. Cannibalize's description also doesn't match the tooltip, but it's probably just a typing error.

Otherwise, the icons for which talent is recommended at level 20 suggest that Hardened Shield is the Recommended talent and all others are situational but the guide says that Potent Bile is Recommended and the others are situational, this seems more important to fix.

I don't mean to be rude by insisting, but I understand the description of Cannibalize to mean that Stitches heals for 5% of his maximum health whenever someone uses basic attacks on him

Oh, it really does. Sorry. Anyway, Straften said he'd update the guide later this week with a full rewrite, which should address all issues with outdated information and misleading talent descriptions.

And that's what makes the new Pulverize sucks: a 0.75s slow is just not worth a Lv 16 talent.

On the other hand, Meat Hook is a really strong tanky talent. It should be the go-to if you're not building around Fishing Hook.

Really interesting to see high-level players having different opinions on the new talents. The most noticeable ones are Hungry for More, Meat Hook and Second Helping.

Hungry for More is better, if not as good as, the old version. Permanent speed boost is really helpful for a tank without mobility abilities, and the max health increase does synergy well with Devour. Patchwork Creation is a strong competitor though.

Meat Hook provide great sustain in team fight to let Stitches fulfill the role of a typical frontline tank better, rather than a hook-one-trick backliner. Pulverize, as I've said before, is just not as good as the alternatives. 

Second Helping is interesting: another 20% max health heal is really tempting, not to mention synergies with other talents. However, with those talents being either weak or extremely niche, this is hardly a contributing factor. Personally, I think Shambling Horror is much better because during late game, there're usually a bunch of burst damage and heavy slows.

Overall, I really like the rework as it significantly improves his waveclear in the form of semi-cleaving auto attacks and Slam's bonus damage, making him much more viable for the bruiser role. The hook-centric playstyle is much more suitable when played as a bruiser because you need another tank to hold the frontline while you're positioning yourself for hook picks.

Alternatively, if you're facing a heavy melee composition, CannibalizeCannibalize is really really good, specially if there is stuff like Samuro (as it affects his clones).

 

Level 10 - Any

I personally like GorgeGorge for its heavy pick-off potential, but it is debatable as Putrid BilePutrid Bile can be a game-changer depending on the map and composition.

 

Level 13 - LacerateLacerate

This one has great synergy with BlightBlight, plus the added effect of decreasing armor.

Alternatively, I like picking Digestive JuicesDigestive Juices; it is a powerful debuff tool.

 

Level 16 - Meat HookMeat Hook

This talent is where Stitches massive self-sustain skyrockets, specially when combined with Serrated EdgeSerrated Edge, to not only give him incredible healing after hooking someone, but also decreasing the cooldown of HookHook.

Alternatively, extra range with Fishing HookFishing Hook is always welcome.

 

Level 20 - Shambling HorrorShambling Horror

With this plus the extra movement speed from Hungry for MoreHungry for More, it becomes extremely hard to stop Stitches, which makes the HookHook > GorgeGorge even more powerful.

Alternatively, if you picked Digestive JuicesDigestive Juices, then Second HelpingSecond Helping is very useful to debuff multiple enemies, or to extend the debuff on one target.

I personally run the Slam build as I don't like the hook-one-trick playstyle:

Lv 1: Patchwork Creation is much, much more powerful if you have a reliable healer, and it has better early game than Hungry for More since it doesn't need to stack. It improves his sustain while Hungry for More improves his tankiness. (One thing to note is that Shambling Horror cannot 'protect' the passive speed boost of Hungry for More from slowing effects.)

Lv 4: Playtime is 10x better than Serrated Edge. Since you can cast Slam twice between each hook, you can reduce Hook's cooldown by 4s if you hit 1 hero each Slam, which is already more than Serrated Edge's 3s cooldown reduction. Not to mention it also reduces Devour's cooldown. 

Lv 7: Blight's passive sustain is extremely powerful (although it looks weak on paper), especially after you get Lacerate at Lv 13. The healing reduction part is honestly a bonus to me. 

Lv 10: Putrid Bile is better for Slam build's playstyle, but Gorge can be good for pick-off.

Lv 13: Lacerate has immense synergy with Blight, giving you self-healing to your main ability. You can easily infect the whole enemy team with Lacerate, and combined with the armor reduction and Blight, gives you some of the best self sustain in the game. 

Lv 16: Meat Hook gives you additional self-sustain, which may seem overkill, but one can never have enough sustain. Combined with Playtime's cooldown reduction, you're more immortal than Diablo. (LUL)

Lv 20: As I've said in the previous post, Shambling Horror is much superior than Second Helping IMO. But I sometimes pick Potent Bile if I feel I don't need more survivability. (which is usually when I'm ahead and want to close out the game before the enemy get Lv 20)

Anyone can confirm that Hungry for More add movement speed can stack with Putrid Bile or not?

If not wrong I remember it cannot stack and I dunno why? I though HOTS only armour no longer stack and only apply the highest? Movespeed also like that already? no stack and apply the highest only?

Movement speed buffs do not stack; only the highest value counts. The only thing that still stack in this game is attack speed.

Then if I got one 110% and another 120%, it will use 120% movement speed. Then opponent apply reduce 20% movespeed, I will become 100% movespeed only right? that 110% movespeed do nothing?

Yes, if you're at 120% movement speed and you get a 20% slow you'll be at 100%.

Haunted Mines Haunted mines has returned to Quick Match! Map objective is now complete when one team collects 55 Skulls, rather than when all 100 Skulls have been collected. Hero vision is reduced while in the mines. Warhead Junction Cast time for Nuke increased from 2.5 seconds to 3 seconds. Cast time for Nuke now breaks upon taking damage.       Death Coil [Q] Mana: 40. Cooldown: 9 seconds. Deals 164 damage to target enemy. Can be self-cast to heal for 262 health. Howling Blast [W] Mana: 50. Cooldown: 10 seconds. Root enemies within the target area for 1.25 seconds and deals 68 damage. Frozen Tempest [E] Mana: 13 per second. Cooldown: 1 second. Deals 36 damage per second to nearby enemies and Slow their Movement Speed by 10% per second, stacking up to 40%. Heroes hit also have their Attack Speed Slowed by 10% per second, stacking up to 40%. Frozen Tempest's effects last for 1.5 seconds. Army of the Dead [R] Charge Cooldown: 18 seconds. Consume all charges to summon an equal number of Ghouls that last 15 seconds and attack for 20 damage. Ghouls can be sacrificed to heal Arthas for 240 Health. Stores up to 6 charges. Every time an enemy minion dies nearby, reduce the charge cooldown of this ability by 1 second. Takedowns reduce the charge cooldown of this ability by 6 seconds. Summon Sindragosa [R] Mana: 100. Cooldown: 100 seconds. Deals 230 damage and Slows enemies by 60% for 4 seconds. Also disables Minions, Mercenaries, Monsters, and Structures for 20 seconds. Frostmourne Hungers [D] Cooldown: 12 seconds. Activate to make Arthas' next Basic Attack strike immediately and deal 71 bonus damage. Dealing damage restores 40 Mana. QUEST: Killing a Minion or hitting a Hero with Frostmourne Hungers permanently increases its bonus damage and Arthas' Basic Attack damage by 1. Talents
      Level 1 Frost Presence Increase the area of Howling Blast by 20%. QUEST: Root enemy Heroes with Howling Blast. REWARD: After Rooting 15 Heroes, Howling Blast's range is increased by 20% and it hits enemies in its path. REWARD: After Rooting 30 Heroes, Death Coil Slows Heroes hit by 50% for 0.75 seconds. Borean Winds After Frozen Tempest has been active for 2 seconds, Arthas gains 10% Movement Speed. PASSIVE: Frozen Tempest's Slowing effects last an additional 0.5 seconds and its Mana cost is reduced by 4 per second. Rime Every 5 seconds, gain 75 Physical Armor against the next enemy Hero Basic Attack, reducing the damage taken by 75%. Stores up to 3 charges. PASSIVE: While Arthas is Slowed, Rooted, or Stunned he heals 24 Health a second. Level 4 Shattered Armor Enemy Heroes hit by Howling Blast have their Armor reduced by 15 for 4 seconds. Icy Talons Gain 3% Attack Speed for 2 seconds every time a Hero is damaged by Frozen Tempest, to a maximum of 60%. Frost Strike Frostmourne Hungers deals an additional 115 Ability damage in an area and slows Heroes hit by 20% for 2 seconds. Level 7 Immortal Coil Gain the healing effect of Death Coil even when used on enemies. If Death Coil is used on Arthas, it heals for an additional 75% bonus healing and its cooldown is reduced by 3 seconds. Rune Tap Every 3rd Basic Attack heals Arthas for 5% of his max Health. PASSIVE: Each stack of Frostmourne Hungers increases Arthas' Maximum Health by 10. Icebound Fortitude Cooldown: 35 seconds. Activate to gain 25 Armor and reduce the duration of Stuns, Slows, and Roots against Arthas by 75% for 3 seconds. Each Hero Rooted by Howling Blast reduces the cooldown of this ability by 2 seconds. Level 13 Deathlord If Death Coil is used on an enemy Hero, launch an additional Death Coil at a nearby enemy Hero. PASSIVE: Death Coil deals more damage the lower Arthas' current Health is, to a maximum of 50% bonus damage. Deathchill Howling Blast's damage is increased by 2 for each stack of Frostmourne Hungers. Howling Blast deals 100% additional damage and Roots for an additional 0.25 seconds against Heroes under 50% health. Biting Cold Each second an enemy is damaged by Frozen Tempest, it deals 15% bonus damage, up to 75% bonus damage. Level 16 Remorseless Winter Enemy Heroes that remain within Frozen Tempest for 2.5 seconds are Rooted for 1.25 seconds and heal Arthas for 3% of his maximum Health. This effect has an 8 second cooldown per target. Frostmourne Feeds Reduce the cooldown of Frostmourne Hungers by 6 seconds. Arthas heals for 75% of the Basic Attack damage dealt by Frostmourne Hungers. Anti-Magic Shell Cooldown 60 seconds. Activate to make Arthas immune to Spell Damage for 4 seconds and heal Arthas for 25% of the damage prevented. Level 20 Legion of Northrend Reduce Army of the Dead's charge cooldown by 5 seconds. Each charge consumed spawns an additional Ghoul to attack nearby enemies. These Ghouls cannot be sacrificed. Absolute Zero Sindragosa flies twice as far. Enemy Heroes are Rooted for 2.5 seconds, and then Slowed by 60% for 4 seconds. Death Pact Instantly double your stacks of Frostmourne Hungers, but it no longer gains stacks from hitting Heroes or killing Minions. PASSIVE: Takedowns grant 2 stacks of Frostmourne Hungers. Path of Frost Activate to instantly mount with 10% additional Movement Speed. Taking damage does not dismount Arthas from this mount. Lasts up to 5 seconds. When Arthas dismounts, Slow all nearby enemies by 30% for 2 seconds and deal 66 damage. Chen
