Is Legion a big Fan Service?

I honestly think Legion looks like a big fan service to players, all the things we wanted, to have legendary weapons, fight the legion again, have Veressa and Turalyon show up, meet... lets say famous royalty, and so on...

 

As someone whose played 10 years of WoW that's exactly what It looked like to me when I first saw the reveal trailer.

Warlords of Draenor was a giant self-congratulation for The Burning Crusade so it's par for the course really.

Just always keep in mind that Blizzard is a business first and purveyor of art second. I'd predict that it will only get worse as WoW continues to age.

I'd agree, I myself liked WoD, my favorite Expansion since Wrath, just cause I'm a huge orc nerd and visiting ye olden dreanor but kinda sorta different was awesome. But this... Legion thing? Not to mention they are a business first, yeah.. and lore Is their secondary concern too and It shows which I hate, I love the lore of wow but they butcher It and don't go further Into It.

 

It's like I wanted to know everything... where are Blackhand's sons Rend and Maim In alternative dreanor, since they didn't get boosted to adulthood by Guldan? Blackhand's wife, I wanted Grom to have join the Horde, our Horde but I guess he'll stay behind... so many questions you know.

In terms of Draenor, I thought it could bring back WoW's reputation from the dust after Cata and MoP but it didn't do much to help, especially with the whole Garrison thing and a patch that people consider didn't add anything worthwhile.

With Legion, I really do think that this is the time for WoW to shine bright and high again. Blizzard seem to be doing everything right, from the revamp of PvP to Artifact weapons, Dalaran and Illidan returning and having our own Class Halls.

It seems like Blizzard finally listening somewhat to what the players want out of a game.

 

If this expansion flops as hard as end game Cata or Garrison Dreanor then it will be highly surprising and probably ruin WoW for good.
